Every possible attempt becomes inadequate in controlling the disease as the number rising each passing day. Indeed, a highly populated country like India has so far successful in mitigating the outbreak within the country. Meanwhile, the strategy based on a preliminary model of assumption with massive awareness program on social (physical) distancing, compulsory wearing of a mask and nationwide lockdown might have contributed immensely to controlling such an emergency. However, the influence of the immune-competent genetic architecture of the Indian racing population and comparatively a dominant young age group population cannot be ruled out completely. Moreover, a suitable environment for viral propagation and characteristics of viral strain are other such factors that simultaneously could add a real scientific justification. However, the current global scenario indicating the countries with higher median age are severely affected compared to the Indian and African subcontinent thereby survived an outbreak with a low mortality rate. At the same time, we never claimed for complete immunity for the COVID-19 depending on age or immunity. The increased incidence of positive cases might slowly also increase the death rate within India, but so far recorded low compared to other parts of the globe.","PeriodicalId":19569,"journal":{"name":"Open Journal of Biological Sciences","volume":"88 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83335240","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Content of numerous biocomponents has allured this mushroom globally [2]. The last decade has witnessed G. lucidum – based pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and toiletries. These are produced from different parts of the mushroom, including mycelia, spores, and fruit body. The specifi c applications and attributed health benefi ts of G. lucidum include control of blood glucose levels, modulation of the immune system, hepatoprotection, bacteriostasis, and more. Though beliefs regarding the health benefi ts of are based largely on anecdotal evidence, traditional use and cultural mores, recent reports provide scientifi c support to some of the ancient claims of the health benefi ts of G. lucidum [3]. More extensive study is called for elucidating the health benefi ts provided by this mushroom especially for the ever increasing food and nutrition oriented therapeutic purposes. In this regard, proximate analysis and phytochemical screening of G. lucidum spur high.","PeriodicalId":19569,"journal":{"name":"Open Journal of Biological Sciences","volume":"83 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79342236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They are present in various orders of insects and their adaptation to a parasitic behavior is seen most diversely and abundantly in the order Hymenoptera. The objective of this study was to increase the knowledge of the biology of a species of dipterous parasitoid in Brazil. The pupae were obtained using the flotation method. They were individually placed in gelatin capsules until the emergence of adult dipterous insects or their parasitoids. The experiments were conducted from January 1998 to February 2014 in rural and urban areas. The total percentage parasitism was 3.1%. Palaeosepsis spp. (Diptera: Sepsidae) were the hosts from which more individuals emerged with 52.3%. Spalangia drosophilae Ashmead (1885) (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) shows how biological characteristics to be a parasitoid pupal, ectoparasitoid, solitary and idiobiont.","PeriodicalId":19569,"journal":{"name":"Open Journal of Biological Sciences","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87208856","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
