After consent, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) was used to document preoperative pain levels. Pulpectomy was done and patients were randomly divided into Group A (without occlusal reduction) and Group B (with 1-1.5mm occlusal reduction). Mean pain scores of Group A and Group B were compared at 24hrs, 72 hours and seventh day using T-test RESULTS: There was a significant difference in mean pain score (p=0.0001) post-pulpectomy between the teeth with and without occlusal reduction. The study included 96 males and 286 females between the ages of 11 to 30 years. All the patients were divided according to skeletal classification of malocclusion. The type of skeletal malocclusion, growth pattern and the morphological variations of soft palate were assessed. The differences in the proportion of soft palate morphology among skeletal malocclusion and growth pattern were calculated. Variation of the soft palate morphology among the genders and different age groups were also determined. RESULTS: Subjects with Type 1 \"leaf-shaped\" soft palates were more prevalent (43.2%) whereas, The Type 4 \"Straight-line\" soft palate was least common (2.9%). Type 1 \"leaf-shaped\" soft palate was the most common in all skeletal malocclusion classes, growth pattern types and both genders CONCLUSIONS: This study found significant association between soft palate morphology with type of skeletal malocclusion and gender. A total of twenty-four cases of MEC were recruited from different tertiary health care hospitals in Lahore and Multan. Data consisting of demographics and clinical features was collected. Histopathological analysis was done according to Seethala's grading system. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) was performed to observe PD-L2 expression. Data was analyzed by using SPSS 25 RESULTS: : The mean age was 30.08±12.8 years and there were 41.7% males and 58.3% females. Most common site of involvement was found to be parotid gland. A total of (54.2%) cases were of low grade. Strong PD-L2 expression was observed in 12(50%) cases while in 5(21%) cases there was week expression. No significant association of PD-L2 expression with grade of tumor was observed. CONCLUSIONS: Among salivary gland tumors, Mucoepidermoid carcinoma is emerging as most frequently diagnosed malignancy. These tumors originate mainly from parotid glands usually during fourth decade of life. As preliminary data generated from current research has highlighted the expression of PD-L2 in malignant MEC. METHODOLOGY: This cross-sectional study involved 610 students studying in 8 different schools of Raiwind, Lahore. Ethical approval for the study was obtained from Sharif Medical and Dental College, Lahore. Data was collected by the primary researcher and recorded in predesigned proforma. Each student was inspected while seated in an upright position in natural day light, using disposable wooden blades to retract the cheek to record posterior dental relationships and to retract lips to record anterior dental relationships. Data was scrutinized using SPSS and chi-square test was used to find the statistical significance of the association between various parafunctional oral habits and types of malocclusions. RESULTS: The frequency of parafunctional oral habits was 57.3% among 610 adolescent students, being more prevalent in females (72.9%) than males (52.3%). The most common oral parafunctional habit was bruxism (18.0%) and least frequent was thumb sucking (8.4%). Association between oral parafunctional habits and malocclusion in all three planes was found to be significant (p=0.0). CONCLUSION: The parafunctional oral habits such as bruxism, tongue thrusting, nail biting, mouth breathing and thumb sucking are very commonly found among adolescents in the same descending order. Most common malocclusions found to be associated with parafunctional oral habits are exaggerated over-jet, open bite and deep bite. Students were selected by non-probability, convenience sampling technique from a private dental college. Summative assessments conducted at the end of semester III were considered pre-intervention tests. Semester IV was planned with formative assessment and feedback sessions after every topic and summative assessments conducted at the end of semester IV were considered Post-intervention tests. The summative assessment was done by Multiple Choice questions and a structured practical exam. A structured close-ended questionnaire was administered to record Students' level of expectation and satisfaction. The analysis was performed by using SPSS version 20. Quantitative analysis was reported by means and standard deviation. Furthermore, paired sample t-test was performed to analyze students' scores before and after formative assessment. Frequencies and percentages were calculated for the number of responses to each item in the questionnaire. RESULTS: Performances of students in semester III (before formative assessment) with semester IV (after formative assessment) were compared with paired-sample t-test results showed a significant increase in the scores of students before (M=62.74, SD±14.72) to after (M=67.16, SD ±14.53). METHODOLOGY: A total of 285 dental units were included in the study out of which 250 belonged to DTH and 35 to PC. Gushing was initially performed on hand to remove visible moisture from the TWS. The number of gushes required to remove visible moisture were recorded and the moisture-sensing device was used to assess the amount of invisible moisture in dry-air released from the TWS. SPSS v 22 was used to compare data of DTH and PC with the help of Mann Whitney U test. The pre- and post-exposure humidity of the sensing chamber was analyzed through Wilcoxon signed rank test. p value of < 0.05 was considered as significant. RESULTS: The power of the study was found to be > 99%. The moisture was present in 77.6% of the TWS in DTH and 37.1% in PC (p <0.001). Significantly higher number of hand gushes were required in DTH to eliminate the visible moisture as compared to PC (p= 0.022). Similarly, TWS in DTH were seen to liberate significantly increased amount of invisible moisture as compared to PC (p-value<0.001).
