The object of the research is respondents who already have electronic money in the form of cards and applications. The analytical tool used is SPSS 23 with multiple regression analysis approaches. With Jabodetabek respondents as many as 106 populations and 30 samples.The result of the descriptive test shows; perceived usefulness effect on interest in using electronic money, insignificant influence on perceived ease on interest in using electronic money, significant effect on service feature availability on interest in using electronic money. Therefore, it can be said that someone who feels the benefits of electronic money will certainly have an interest in using electronic money. Meanwhile, people who feel the convenience of electronic money do not necessarily have an interest in using electronic money. Meanwhile, service features are the main support for growing interest in using electronic money.","PeriodicalId":191636,"journal":{"name":"ERN: Other Development Economics: Microeconomic Issues in Developing Economies (Topic)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115426572","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SMEs contribute to economic development. Private sector growth helps SME expansion. Since most SMEs belong to the marginal section of society, the implications of SMEs is widespread in terms of poverty alleviation and socio-economic improvement. Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030 agenda was globally endorsed. Bangladesh is working through collective public and private sector cooperation to achieve them. The private sector has proven its capacity in reshaping economic performance and SME including poverty elimination. No poverty- is the first goal of SDG and associated with economic visions. As SME is the frontier of the economy, zero poverty target can be gained through substantial private sector SME endeavor. Secondary data used and parametric assessment techniques were considered. A significant relation of Industry, manufacturing, and GDP ratio was proven. This article justifies the nexus of private sector SME and zeroes poverty in Bangladesh highlighting relevant issues, challenges, and way out for SDG targets.","PeriodicalId":191636,"journal":{"name":"ERN: Other Development Economics: Microeconomic Issues in Developing Economies (Topic)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114707401","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, this investigated impact is missing in the Islamic tourism industry. For this reason, this paper is filling this gap by investigating the impact of accommodation entrepreneurship activities on Islamic tourism (Umrah pilgrimage) in Saudi Arabia. This paper applied a robust non-parametric approach of bootstrapped quantile regression to estimate the effect of accommodation entrepreneurship activities on Islamic tourism (Umrah pilgrimage) using a sample of the total Umrah pilgrims (Islamic tourists) as a proxy for Islamic tourism (Umrah pilgrimage) development and total accommodation entrepreneurship activities as an independent variable covering a period from 2010 until 2018. The findings demonstrated that accommodation entrepreneurship activities are promoting Islamic tourism (Umrah pilgrimage) industry in Saudi Arabia. The findings also indicated that accommodation entrepreneurship activities are one of the main factors that promote Islamic tourism (Umrah) in Saudi Arabia alongside Islamic life and belief, and religious loyalty.","PeriodicalId":191636,"journal":{"name":"ERN: Other Development Economics: Microeconomic Issues in Developing Economies (Topic)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128804932","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We show that there is an immediate and large increase in licensing when a patent is included in the MPP. There is also evidence that the pool increases actual entry and volume of sales, but these impacts are much smaller than on licensing, which is due to the geographic bundling of licenses. The paper highlights the potential of pools in promoting diffusion of biomedical innovation in developing countries.","PeriodicalId":191636,"journal":{"name":"ERN: Other Development Economics: Microeconomic Issues in Developing Economies (Topic)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125897318","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A combination of sociological, library research approaches and interviews conducted with economic as well as art managers were adopted for data collection. From the study, it is observed that cultural exchange and tourism can be used to attract tourists that will bring foreign exchange to add to the revenue generation for the economy. This can be achieved by having a fixed date for our festivals, carnivals, and traditional performances in dance-music such as Mkpokiti, Igbakwu, Atunyereogwu, Nwaumuagbogho, Nwanwaite, Egwu Iza and Igbo Cultural War Dance. Masquerades performances including that of Ijele Akwunechenyi, Atu, Ugo, Izaga, Inyinya, and Adamma are to be utilized to achieve this goal. It is also noted that the Nollywood films should be harnessed as well as funded to ensure quality productions to attract local and international patrons to the industry and increase revenue generation. Additionally, the utilization of human resources to put the economy at prosperity and growth can be achieved through the employment of qualified professionals to manage key sectors of the cultural industry for prudent accountability and development. It is also recommended that effective leadership capable of managing the economy and the people be employed to provide good governance.","PeriodicalId":191636,"journal":{"name":"ERN: Other Development Economics: Microeconomic Issues in Developing Economies (Topic)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134100104","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The essence is to adopt an effective means through which the potentials of the artists will be harnessed for maximum benefits and for the enrichment of the theatre. It is worthy to observe that the attainment of an optimal production is dependent on proper application of the basic principles of theatre management such as planning, organizing, directing, controlling and staffing which contribute to greater production as well as impact positively on the overall performance of the theatre. This paper highlights the fact that many artists are under productive and overstressed due to non-application of the above principles with the guidance of a competent manager in their theatre organizations for maximum production. It is also revealed that many theatre organizations do not employ or even make use of the services of a specialized manager in the conceptualization and execution of their programmes which will enhance the sustenance of the organization. Based on the experience from Ihiala Resident Theatre, it is recommended that theatre organizations should employ or at least consult a trained manager to assist them in the planning of their productions in order to maximize the gains accruing to the artists and improve performance.","PeriodicalId":191636,"journal":{"name":"ERN: Other Development Economics: Microeconomic Issues in Developing Economies (Topic)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127685927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Методиките за оценка на ефективността на социалните програми (проекти) са свързани с насочеността на социалната система към социална защита и социално обслужване на населението и използването на процесния подход и прехода към програмно-целеви методи, очертавайки основни проблеми, механизми за социални услуги и задачи за измерване, определяши базовите изисквания към оценката на ефективността на социалното програмиране и различните етапи. Разглеждайки всички тези въпроси, изследването предлага модел за оценка на ефективността на социалното програмиране, базиран на подхода на „организационната ефективност“, обхващащ съвкупността от определени елементи – система за придобиване на ресурси, избор на цели, оценка на въздействието на външната среда, избор на стратегия, спазвайки принципа „какво-ако“ и приоритетите в социалната дейност, произтичащи от динамичните промени в социалната среда. The answers depend on whether people who migrate have higher or lower productivity than people who do not migrate. Theory on this subject has long exceeded evidence. We present estimates of emigrant selection on both observed and unobserved determinants of income, from across the developing world. We use nationally representative survey data on 7,013 people making active, costly preparations to emigrate from 99 developing countries during 2010–2015. We model the relationship between these measures of selection and the income elasticity of migration. In low-income countries, people actively preparing to emigrate have 30 percent higher incomes than others overall, 14 percent higher incomes explained by observable traits such as schooling, and 12 percent higher incomes explained by un-observable traits. Within low-income countries the income elasticity of emigration demand is 0.23. The world’s poor collectively treat migration not as an inferior good, but as a normal good. Any negative effect of higher income on emigration within sub-populations can reverse in the aggregate, because the composition of sub-populations shifts as incomes rise an instance of Simpson’s paradox.","PeriodicalId":191636,"journal":{"name":"ERN: Other Development Economics: Microeconomic Issues in Developing Economies (Topic)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115979311","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The feasibility of introducing such technologies is determined by the degree of innovative development of this region. Today there are a large number of models that substantiate certain indicators used to calculate the integral indicator of an innovative energy-efficient focus. The dynamics of the development of an administrative unit depends on the ability to create favorable conditions for the dissemination and use of innovations, the intensification of scientific and innovative activities. The article also uses the concept of \"innovative orientation\" rather than \"innovative development\". The innovation orientation is considered as the degree of intensity and timeliness of the implementation of certain actions by economic entities aimed at innovative development. To calculate the indicator of innovative orientation, the method of integral assessment of innovative orientation is used, which makes it possible to: determine a large number of indicators; explore individual sectors of society; not to analyze generally accepted economic indicators that are not sectoral known in the research subjects, and to determine the energy-efficient focus at the expense of the selected indices of the focus of innovative potential. As part of the study, primary indicators are collected from 14 administrative units of the Kharkiv region. At the next stage of the study, indicators of innovative orientation are determined. In accordance with the principles of conducting research and identifying innovative potential, the indicators are formed in 5 groups. The ranking of integral indicators of innovative energy-efficient orientation is carried out, which makes it possible to reasonably and purposefully give recommendations on energy savings in the studied subjects in accordance with the rank of this index.","PeriodicalId":191636,"journal":{"name":"ERN: Other Development Economics: Microeconomic Issues in Developing Economies (Topic)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127190005","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
