Secularism is an ideology that is understood as a process of separation between religion and the world. The existence of this ideology can eliminate (nihilism) the traditional value of the concept of God in human life. When examined more deeply, history appears that secularism can cause several problems that affect the confusion in human life. This can be seen from the social, economic and political fields. First, in social life, it gives rise to a social theory related to social life, namely Marxism, a theory that teaches human awareness how to socialize which affects a very materialist economic attitude. The second is in the economic field, so that in the process it gives rise to capitalism, which is one of the incarnations of secularization in the economy. Third, in politics there is a separation between religion and state. From this impact affects human life. The role of Western thinkers has also influenced the emergence of secularism in human life. With the development of secularism in people’s lives, it also affects religious attitudes in life. In this study, secularism greatly affects people’s life, especially in modern times like today. Every sect in Christianity has a distinctive cross that distinguishes one from another. The Catholic and Protestant crosses are distinguished by the presence of a corpus or statue of Jesus hanging on it. Catholics use a corpus on their crosses, whereas Protestants are just plain crosses without any statues. Researchers will trace deeper into the history of the cross in pre-Christian times who rejected the presence of the symbol of the cross because this symbol was only attached to people who had committed grave sins. So that the researcher will use a historical methodology with an approach to the manuscript literature related to the cross. The results found by researchers that the meaning of the cross for Catholics today is taken from the meaning of the Pagan people because most Catholic teachings have been influence and interfered with by the teachings of Paganism. The meaning of the cross as a symbol of the resurrection and atonement for sins by Jesus is like the god Bacchus in Pagan. In addition, the use of the cross in Catholic religious rituals is not much different from the worship of Pagan gods who also use the cross. Liturgy, as the main act of worship, has always been using music and song to increase the number of its. Saint Cornelius Madiun Church as one of the Surabaya diocese has a big development in accord to the number of the congregation since its establishment. This parish has three thousand congregations and still increasing annually. One of these factors is caused by the unique music and song served by the ministry of the church. This research is field research and employed the phenomenological approach to analyze the data. The result is that the liturgical music and song which are played in Saint Cornelius Madiun Church are in accord with what has been determined by the Council Vatican 2, namely Sacrosanctum Concilium about liturgical Music. Both are music as a part of the liturgy, and music as accompaniment music during liturgy. The music and the song of the liturgy give big influence in creating a sense of solem, sacred, humility and delighted in living up to the liturgy of the mass because music has a variety of tempo, rhythm, and a style adapted to the liturgical activities. However, there are a lot of things related to both which are inappropriately known and caused misunderstandings ended with shirk. This article will discuss the concept of ruqyah in Islam comparatively with exorcism in Catholicism, as ruqyah is not only a religious ritual used to repel demons or jinn but also a form of Islamic medicine inherited from the Prophet Muhammad. Ruqyah is also classified as the Thibbun Nabawi, making it considered as a part of Sunnah. As such, Exorcism is the teachings of Jesus to the 12 Apostles. Ruqyah is done using Qur’anic verses by every Muslim, as it can be an option for Muslims in dealing with disasters in the form of pain either physical or meta-physical injury derived from the interference of Satan or Jinn. While in Exorcism, the practice can only be done by a few who have obtained the legality of the local bishop, so that the authenticity of this practice can be justified. This term is known not only in Islam but also in Christianity, namely Advent (Seventh-day Adventist Church). A church that keeps the Sabbath day holy was pioneered by a woman named Ellen G. White. Its doctrine and teachings are believed to be a vision from God in conflict with his prophecies, because the prophecies taught contradict the doctrine of the Catholic papacy. This research is library research (library research), using several methods including descriptive methods and critical analysis methods. This study found that Ellen G. White's prophecy is a vision from God according to Adventists. But not so with Catholics, they are aggressively looking for evidence and accusing Ellen White of being a false prophet. His claims about visions begin with great experiences in childhood. Conjecture after conjecture emerged from various sects, including the Catholic Church. Some scientists claim that his vision was a mistake because of the suffering he experienced. In Kejawen, it is central to his teachings. However, in its history, the concept is not apart of the debate. It is said that Manunggaling Kawula Gusti is based to the teachings of the monistic and pantheistic. This teaching spreaded by Ranggawarsita, and write the complete fiber that discuss about Manunggaling Kawula Gusti. The fiber is Serat Wirid Hidayat Jati. He is a figure that represents a concept that is raised by the process of acculturation the two great major, the Islamic tradition and Kejawen tradition. Then, the pattern of Ranggawarsita thought influenced by the two traditions. This leads to not represent one of the tradition as a whole. The discussion aims to uncover Manunggaling Kawula Gusti according to Ranggawarsita in Serat Wirid Hidayat Jati, and the views of Islamic Monotheism against the doctrine. At the end of this discussion, will explain that the concept of Manunggaling Kawula Gusti teaches that the God is transcend with human, but His names and natures are close with human. That the meant of Manunggaling Kawula Gusti is Lord and servant is unity of creativity, taste and intention. Manunggaling Kawula Gusti may not be viewed as the teachings that deviate from monotheism, and instead, it is a form of the highest expression of the tawhid. According to Christianity, non-medical healing is always being associate with miracles, also called divine healing which consists of healing physical and spiritual illness. Both are important parts of Christ's ministry. Jesus' ministry on earth, marked by healing, miracles, and miraculous signs. With descriptive and analysis methods, this study concludes that healing is a renewal of the body's condition to restore the strength of disease, and miracles are events that are difficult to reach by human reason. The relationship between Jesus' miracles and healing services in the Church is that there are several miracles of Jesus that have shown that faith and physical healing are interrelated. Healing from Jesus is not always instant because faith is a significant factor in getting healthy. One form of Jesus' healing is the law of touch and transmission, which is the means to make miracles. Not only that, but prayer is also a way to get healing from a distance. God wants the Church to fully operate on this earth as the empowered body of Jesus. For this to achieve, the gift and anointing of the Holy Spirit in believers must be activated.
