This synchronisation is named synchronous coupling and is based on the assumption which states that a mapping exists between system Bill Of Materials and projects Work Breakdown Structure. Synchronous coupling ensures a consistency in the monitoring and the control of the system design and project planning by imposing synchronous milestones during the project development. The synchronous coupling is based on the definition of three states for each design and project entity following feasibility and verification criteria, and can thus manage the changes between states. Some rules are defined (precedence and coupling rules) to forbid certain changes when they are inconsistent and to synchronize them.","PeriodicalId":191097,"journal":{"name":"2011 5th International Conference on Software, Knowledge Information, Industrial Management and Applications (SKIMA) Proceedings","volume":"SE-13 7","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114128930","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Germany, in the Engineering and Computer Sciences, a doctoral degree is named “Dr.-Ing.” and qualifies for a high-level job in the industrial field or prepares for an academic career. Most German graduates are going to work in the industry. To improve obtaining the doctoral degree (Dr.-Ing.), the German universities developed various structural measures. In 2010 the German National Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech) announced a competition to promote promising strategies for a lasting improvement of the doctoral training in the engineering sciences, granting awards in six categories. The Bremen Research Cluster for Dynamics in Logistics (LogDynamics) has proven its strength in internationalization by well-balanced measures for doctoral candidates (research assistants and scholarship holders) on the level of supervision and regarding the training of complementary competences and skills in the interdisciplinary research area of logistics. This paper introduces the concept.","PeriodicalId":191097,"journal":{"name":"2011 5th International Conference on Software, Knowledge Information, Industrial Management and Applications (SKIMA) Proceedings","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125144011","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to meet the needs of new tourists, service supplier (i.e. the university) most meet the requirements of e-tourism industries. Research suggests that higher education, as one of the most important knowledge providers, is not currently meeting the needs of the e-tourism industry, especially in GMS developing countries. The quality of e-tourism curriculum provision depends largely on the curriculum quality and its subsequent implementation. This research focuses on two major problems, which represent a gap between the knowledge needs of the e-tourism industry and the knowledge provided by tourism curricula in higher education. The research investigates how to fill the gap between knowledge demand and that supplied by higher education through an analysis of the “as-is” situation and the desired “to-be” situation as related to e-tourism curriculum design. A solution is proposed through an integration of the tools of supply chain management and knowledge management.","PeriodicalId":191097,"journal":{"name":"2011 5th International Conference on Software, Knowledge Information, Industrial Management and Applications (SKIMA) Proceedings","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128796810","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our goal is to raise awareness about a concept called interoperability and its role in increasing the production efficiency of the companies within their respective industries. The intent of the interoperability approach is to create interaction and communication between several internal and external company systems via a message sending and data sharing framework. The aim of the design is to simplify the exchange of data and to make process collaboration easier. Our architecture is based on a mediator information system with a business service as its key component. This service drives the process of data exchange and orchestrates business process collaboration. To achieve this target the service must adapt to execution contexts.","PeriodicalId":191097,"journal":{"name":"2011 5th International Conference on Software, Knowledge Information, Industrial Management and Applications (SKIMA) Proceedings","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130308525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Business process modeling is used as a medium of communication between stakeholders. Most of the research in business process modeling is focused on alignment of information technology services and business operations. Existing process models lack the representation of performance data for evaluation and analysis. The process models conceived for information system development are not sufficient for such representation. This paper discusses the challenges of business process modeling in the post execution analysis context and describes the characteristics of an analytical modeling language. Furthermore, we also extend an existing modeling language and explain the proposed extensions with the help of a case study.","PeriodicalId":191097,"journal":{"name":"2011 5th International Conference on Software, Knowledge Information, Industrial Management and Applications (SKIMA) Proceedings","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125370178","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The optimal choice of these parameters gives a perfect machining without risks and with high productivity rate. The proposed problem tries to minimizing two nonlinear objectives functions: the machining time and the machining cost under several constraints. The well-chosen of conform optimization methods to resolve this problem gives a quick and reliable decision. The genetic algorithms permit the treatment of non-linear functions. They allow a good exploitation in the field of research as well as the non feasible field is not eliminated but sanctioned with high fitness values and a good exploration by the diversification operations that improve the solution quality.","PeriodicalId":191097,"journal":{"name":"2011 5th International Conference on Software, Knowledge Information, Industrial Management and Applications (SKIMA) Proceedings","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125984144","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Specifically here, a complex problem in inbound logistics is considered as real-time scheduling in a stochastic shop floor problem. Recently, in order to comply with real-time decisions, autonomous logistic objects have been suggested as an alternative. Since pallets are common used objects in carrying materials (finished or semi-finished), so they have the possibility to undertake the responsibility of real time dispatching jobs to machines in a shop-floor problem. By insisting on the role of pallets for this task, their sustainment's advantage in manufacturing systems motivated the idea of developing learning pallets. These pallets may deal with uncertainties and sudden changes in the assembly system. Here, among some intelligent techniques artificial neural network is selected to transmit the ability of decision making as well as learning to the pallets, as distributed objects. Besides, pallets make decisions based on their own experiences about the entire system and local situations. Consequently, the considered scheduling problem resembles an open shop problem with three alternative finished products. Finally, a discrete event simulation model is developed to solve this problem and defined the results of this transmission paradigm.","PeriodicalId":191097,"journal":{"name":"2011 5th International Conference on Software, Knowledge Information, Industrial Management and Applications (SKIMA) Proceedings","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127952877","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tuned schema merging (TuSMe) 调优模式合并(TuSMe)

It plays a significant role in different application domains, like multidatabase systems. A prerequisite to schema merging is schema matching, in which source databases are compared with each other to identify corresponding elements. There are different possibilities to create a GCS given a set of data sources and the correspondences between them. The tuned schema merging (TuSMe) is an effort to develop a balanced GCS that will control its horizontal and vertical expansion. Too much horizontal or vertical expansion results an unbalanced GCS that will produce too much NULL values against the global queries or cause poor query processing due to too many Joins required. TuSMe assigns weights to individual attributes that reflect the connectedness of attributes to the attributes of the underlying data sources. Theses weights are used to determine the internal cohesiveness of the individual relations in the GCS that can be combined to measure the overall strength of the GCS. TuSMe guides the human or automated integrator to establish a balanced GCS using the weights assigned to individual relations.","PeriodicalId":191097,"journal":{"name":"2011 5th International Conference on Software, Knowledge Information, Industrial Management and Applications (SKIMA) Proceedings","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123608529","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The placement of the sensor and wearability are ones of vital keys in the successful activity recognition of free space livings. Experiments were carried out to investigate the use of a single wrist-worn accelerometer for automatic activity classification. The performances of two classification algorithms namely Decision Tree C4.5 and Artificial Neural Network were compared using four different sets of features to classify five daily living activities. The result revealed that Decision Tree C4.5 has outperformed Neural Network regardless of the different sets of features used. The best classification result was achieved using the set containing the most popular and accurate features i.e. mean, minimum, energy and sample differences etc. The best accuracy of 94.13% was achieved using only wrist-worn accelerometer showing a possibility of automatic activity classification with no movement constrain, discomfort and stigmatisation caused by the sensor.","PeriodicalId":191097,"journal":{"name":"2011 5th International Conference on Software, Knowledge Information, Industrial Management and Applications (SKIMA) Proceedings","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127883500","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
