There may be a need to distribute antennas over hundreds of meters to kilometers, for example in a goniometric system for direction finding applications [2]. Radio frequency (RF) photonics may be used as a distributed gateway to access these high frequency bands while maintaining the signal quality needed to recover higher order modulations. We report the improvement of an all-electronic satellite communication terminal with high performance remoting RF photonic frequency converters.","PeriodicalId":190997,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE Avionics and Vehicle Fiber-Optics and Photonics Conference (AVFOP)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134343208","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
