Abstract

Since the MT was introduced in NTT's subscriber line in 1988, it has been used in many optical fiber systems. Technical problems and solutions of the development era are described. Also the MT ferrule Variation and MPO/MTP (Multi-fiber Push On/MT Push-on) housing and its latest version are described.
