At the conceptual level, the study establishes relationships between the socio-cognition of moral evaluation and moral philosophy. A qualitative study was carried out, following a phenomenological design. The corpus of analysis was the national news about COVID-19 published on four main visited digital platforms on Facebook, and the comments on such news in the period between February and April 2021. It was found that in the face of news articles that present consequentialist and deontological evaluative content, they presented a greater diversity of types of moral evaluations in the comments. While consequentialist evaluations prevail in articles, virtuosist ones predominate in comments. Through a qualitative investigation, mass, local and community digital media representative of each area were selected, and news on the situation of poor neighborhoods in relation to the epidemiological situation, the populations that inhabit them, the relationship with health services and the social, economic, political and cultural impact of the pandemic was identified. Next, a recurrently themed case was selected in the media from each area analyzed (Barrio Mugica in the city of Buenos Aires and Barrio Toba in Resistencia) and the news referring to those neighborhoods was analyzed comparatively. From the news on COVID-19 in the cases constructed by the media, narratives about the virus, the disease, and the causes of its spread, about those affected and their own deaths were updated from the media coverage of the epidemics. It is concluded that these narratives are effects of the metaphorization processes that assimilate epidemics with situations of war in which enemies, victims, heroes, and martyrs are built. Three frames were established: an error that should not be repeated, a senseless tragedy and a past that has been overcome. Se traza un recorrido que se remonta a mediados del siglo XX, cuando una serie de teóricos formados en los presupuestos de la economía neoclásica y la teoría marxista plantearon la necesidad de analizar los medios de comunicación como organizaciones industriales que producen y distribuyen mercancías. Así, comenzaron a indagar en torno de la especificidad económica de las industrias culturales y sus productos, y en las relaciones establecidas entre los Estados, las empresas de medios y las grandes corporaciones.
