Myasnikyan (now the National Library of Armenia) published the “Bibliographical Magazine” that was the basis for library and bibliographic periodicals published later, such as “Librarian,” “Culture-Enlightenment Work,” and “Culture.” After independence of Armenia, the creation of the Library Association of Armenia played a major role in the library sector. From 1996-2008, the Association’s periodical was published, which reflected not only the life of the library association, but also was an important platform for those of the library sector. Leading specialists, scientists, lecturers, cultural figures, and students published and disseminated their articles. The information about collections on Armenian studies in foreign languages, supported and non-supported languages, and types of foreign language print materials available at the National Library of Armenia is presented. The article also discusses the value of foreign language literature and how in demand it is in Armenia, as well as the role and importance of foreign language Armenian press and what efforts are being done in that direction. A summary is provided on how much the National Library of Armenia has contributed to the replenishment of foreign language collections according to statistics of the last ten years, when the greatest number of foreign language literature was acquired, as well as what unique books are kept in the collection. Let us recall that our eparchies are also institutions that carry out their publishing activities in the same spirit as the Cilician Catholicossate, but they are not the subject of this report. Armenia-Kuwait relations should be considered in the domain of Armenia-Arab world relations. There is a viable Armenian community in Kuwait, which plays an important role in the life of a hospitable country. The Armenian press has an important mission. That applies equally to the Armenian Diaspora press. The librarian of the school library must contribute, connect the child to library work, always respond to social changes, satisfy the readers' demand for information, culture and free entertainment. In today’s information and knowledge-based society, the school library provides essential information and ideas. The article considers the problems and prospects of organizing long-term digital storage of electronic information resources. It is proposed to use for solving the problems of long-term digital preservation approaches focused on the reference model of the open archival information system (OAIS), de-scribed in the ISO 14721:2012 standard. He demonstrated all the qualities specific to the intellectuals of the diaspora: a patient teacher, a skilled organizer and editor, an impartial researcher, an accepted public figure, a visible person who establishes and develops ties with the Motherland. Today, the National Library of Armenia is working on compiling his bibliographic series: Bibliography about the librarian. A comprehensive analysis has shown that thanks to the development of book printing a large number of books in different languages, periodicals and bibliographic publications were published, which by their meaning and functions influenced and continue influencing the development of intercultural, scientific, educational, technological (“digitalization”) and social communications. The theme of the conference is “Heritage Preservation for Sustainable Future,” which also should equally refer to the problem of saving the Armenian cultural heritage from destruction, which remained under the control of Azerbaijanis as a result of the new Artsakh war.
