But when grown under calcium deficiency for 24 h only C. albicans formed protoplasts, whereas S. cerevisiae 21 failed to do so. In this specific strain other physiological and ultrastructural changes are observed too. The pathological changes on the ultrastructure of Candida albicans blastospores produced by amorolfin are demonstrated by transmission electronmicroscopy. This black yeast‐like organism occurred in company with pathogenic yeasts, Candida albicans, C. krusei and Trichosporon cutaneum. The yeast‐like organism, Malassezia pachydermatis was cultivated from 11 cases.
