As the number of vehicles with IEEE 802.11p increases, communication congestion is expected due to the limitation of Carrier Sensing Multiple Access (CSMA) of IEEE 802.11. In order to alleviate the problem, dynamic wider bandwidth channel access of 20MHz with fairness is proposed in this paper. Instead of using 10MHz ITS channel, the proposed dynamic wider bandwidth channel access can decrease packet transmission time leading to channel capacity increase. However, users using the other 10MHz channel which is used for wider bandwidth channel access suffer from unfair channel usage.","PeriodicalId":187178,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121924112","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Specifically, the aim is to assign subcarriers to network users, while maximizing the weighted-sum energy-efficiency, subject to quality-of-service (QoS) constraints. The J-SA-WSEE-PA problem is shown to be non-convex, and thus is computationally-intensive. In turn, it is split into two subproblems: (1) WSEE maximizing power allocation per subcarrier, and (2) matching-theoretic subcarrier assignment. For the first sub-problem, a low-complexity iterative solution procedure is devised to optimally solve the WSEE-maximizing power allocation problem per subcarrier. As for the second sub-problem, a linear time-complexity stable matching algorithm based on the hospitals-residents matching problem is proposed to assign subcarriers to network users. Simulation results are presented to validate the devised solution procedure and the proposed stable matching algorithm, where it has been shown they yield comparable network sum energy-efficiency to the J-SA-WSEE-PA scheme, while satisfying QoS constraints.","PeriodicalId":187178,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC)","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127316964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this article, we propose NOMA-eMBMS model in a symmetric/asymmetric channel. First, introduces a simple NOMA system with Multicast/Unicast for two users that simultaneously operates by a single carrier. LDM-NOMA layered Division Multiplexing splits multistage unicast-multicast power level for two services. Afterwards, Extend to general model for K users with inter service interference. SIC decoder analyses with least complexity form. Finally Matlab simulation shows throughput rates spectral and energy efficiency (SE-EE) NOMA-eMBMS parameters over than OMA-eMBMS technology. Results indicates NOMA-eMBMS combination increases performance than conventional orthogonal multiple access system.","PeriodicalId":187178,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC)","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127331714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we evaluate the performance of Thread protocol for lighting systems using a practical testbed setup in an office area. We focus our evaluation on unicast and multicast, which are the two most important communication paradigms for lighting applications. The unicast and multicast of Thread are tested under various communication parameters, such as concurrent multicast sources, hop distance from the source to the destination, communication interval, etc. The key performance indicators include end-to-end latency, time for complete coverage, synchronization, and packet delivery ratio. In addition, we use the measurement results of unicast and multicast in some typical lighting applications to analyze its impact on user experience. Through our extensive experiment and analysis, we conclude that the performance of Thread multicast and unicast has much leeway to meet the requirements of lighting systems.","PeriodicalId":187178,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123394115","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The small cells adoption, which promises to offer an economical solution for improved coverage and data rate, appears to be the key factor at improving network cooperation and system performance. In this paper, we evaluate the User-Centric model for 5G networks, targeted at improving communication between user terminal and Base Stations across all layers. We suggest a cost-effective, resource-aware method for improved mobile outdoor coverage and overall network capacity while fully respecting the user's Quality of Service, by decoupling the overall network into downlink and uplink networks. The proposed algorithm determines how the network users in both networks will efficiently connect to a Base Station. The network performances are evaluated in terms of data rates enhancements, association outcome and preservation of the Quality of Service for each user. Our low-complexity algorigthm ultimately manages to serve the vast majority of the users placed inside an ultra-dense network and achieve perfect preservation of Quality of Service, regardless of the number of active users.","PeriodicalId":187178,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122208554","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Numerical analysis based on the transmission line matrix method is used to obtain the shape or form of the biological object. The effect of different discretization parameters on the convergence of the transmission line matrix method is studied in detail. Exact and efficient dielectric profile image reconstructions of three dimension lossy scatterers from different complex cross sections using synthetic scattered field data are presented. A k-connected network remains connected after failure in any k-1 nodes, hence we can consider the k value as a metric for measuring the connectivity robustness of WSNs. In this paper we consider the effect of random node distribution and transmission range of nodes on k value of WSNs. To evaluate the effect of node count and transmission range on k, we generated 1000 random topologies with different transmission range and node count and measured the k value of established networks. Our simulation result showed that in a field of 1000 × 1000 m2 area, with unified random distribution we need at least 200 nodes with minimum transmission range 80 m to expect a network with k ≥ 1. Also, the simulation results showed that random distributing of up to 500 nodes with transmission range lower than 80 in a field with mentioned area, generally leads to disconnected networks.","PeriodicalId":187178,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131187043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition to the sparsity feature of the channel there are additional information about the channel which are omitted in common sparse representation methods. This paper is prepared to propose a method to contribute this information into sparse representation process and improving the estimation of the channel. We also discuss the uniqueness of the final answer under this new circumstance.","PeriodicalId":187178,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC)","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133022484","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
