This study aims to evaluate the percentage change in carnelian color up to the F4 generation and the selection progress in the F4 generation. The research was conducted from August 2017 to August 2020 in Kalukubula village, Sigi Regency, Palu, Central Sulawesi Province. This study was structured using a randomized block design with five carnelian color treatments that were repeated five times. This study used a mass selection method by selecting the carnel color according to the treatment (purple, yellow, white, purple dominant yellow and white dominant purple). Each treatment was planted in one plot for each generation. The seeds were planted using an isolation time of 21 DAS. The results showed that there were three color carnelian characters that experienced an increase in the percentage of color up to the F4 generation, namely Purple (27.68% -70.39%), White Dominant Purple (1.52% -16.91%) and White (5.40% -91.22%), and There are two carnelian color characters that experience a decrease in the percentage of color in the F4 generation, namely Yellow (68.14% -64.31%) and Purple Dominant Yellow (27.00%-5.22%). The character of purple, white, dominant purple and white carnelian color had a significant increase in heritability values in the F4 population, and had an expected genetic progression value (36.94%, 17.56%, 53.55%) and positive selection progress in the F4 generation.","PeriodicalId":187127,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Agrotech","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130280335","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study was to obtain the best post-harvest handling with different storage methods to produce quality and quality seeds with the best germination. This research was conducted in Tamarenja Village (Kalama Valley), Sindue Tobata District, Donggala Regency and seed testing was carried out at the Seed Science and Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University. This research was conducted from October 2019 to February 2020. This research was arranged using a two-factor factorial randomized block design (RBD), the first factor consisting of two storage areas, namely: P1 = indoors, P2 = outdoors, while the second factor consists of three storage times, namely: W1 = one month and W2 = two months, and W3 = three months, which was repeated six times so that there were 36 experimental units where each experimental unit consisted of 50 seeds with a total of 1,800 seeds used. Data analysis used Fisher's test and continued with the BNJ test at 1% level. The results showed that the yields stored by hanging outdoors for 3 three months resulted in germination (71.00%), germination time (2.23 days), percentage of moldy seeds (9.33%), and percentage of moldy sprouts (9.33%).","PeriodicalId":187127,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Agrotech","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131561720","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research was conducted in Morowali District, Central Sulawesi Province. The method used in sampling in this study is simple randomly selected. In this simple random technique each member of the population has the same opportunity to become a sample. This study analyzes the function of results using multiple linear regression analysis. Variable identification is done by listing production factors that are thought to have an effect on the process of upland rice yields. On the factors of production the variables that are affected (dependent variable) are results. While the variables that are variable (independent) affect are the area of land, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and labor. The results showed that the factors of production of land area, seeds, labor, fertilizers, and pesticides jointly influence the yield of upland rice. Variable land area partially has a significant effect on upland rice yields, with the highest average yield obtained in land area of ≤ 0.50 ha (average 3.76 t / ha). Partial variables of seed, labor, fertilizer, and pesticide did not significantly influence the upland rice yield respectively.","PeriodicalId":187127,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Agrotech","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129802801","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study uses a simple random method. The data obtained is collected, processed and analyzed. Analysis was carried out to determine the frequency of data in each variable. Primary data obtained through interviews were analyzed to provide a concise picture of groups of data in one frequency table. Types of pests that attack onion in Wombo Mpanau Village are leaf caterpillars, leaf flies, trips, flour dew, and fusarium wilt. The most widely used pest control method is the use of chemical pesticides, which reaches 70% of respondents. The knowledge of farmers on the application of pesticides is relatively good, namely 100% of respondents apply pesticides when there are symptoms of attack and if other controls are unable to overcome the pest attack. Knowledge of farmers on the use of doses of pesticides is relatively good, namely 100% of respondents use the dosage according to the recommendations listed on the packaging. The actions of farmers when applying pesticides in general are not mixing pesticides. The majority of respondents have taken the right action in terms of storing semrot and pesticides in a special place. But on the other hand the awareness of farmers is still low, because there are still many farmers who wash sprayers in rivers or ditches.","PeriodicalId":187127,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Agrotech","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114632835","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
