There are many techniques for extracting the speech features. Capability of various speech features for categorizing speech sounds differs and can be evaluated after applying classification or clustering model. As an alternative approach, a preliminary study (before classification) can be done about distinguishing capacity of a speech feature. Generally, visualization techniques are used for this purpose. In this paper, we are evaluating the capability of speech feature by computing and analyzing Fisher's ratio for the vowels and consonants. It's a well known technique but not being used widely in the context of Automatic speech recognition. The term Fisher's ratio is computed based on the centroid and variance of feature within a population and across various populations. It gives a picture about the measure of separation of objects of one class with another. The evaluation results are then compared with visualization techniques and classification accuracy.","PeriodicalId":185697,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Inventive Communication and Computational Technologies (ICICCT)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115370021","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An automatic paper-summarizer will reduce the amount of time and human effort. Presently, tools exist for formatting and designing themes for slides, but not for content generation. This paper proposes a summarization system that automatically generates presentation slides from scientific papers. The proposed system accepts scientific papers as input and prepares presentation slides, which includes text, images and graphs present in them. Papers and slides are learned and trained using Support Vector Regression model. It calculates and predicts the regression scores. Based on the regression scores, the relevant content of the paper is selected for generating summary. The generated summary is used for making slides using Integer Linear Programming along with the images present in papers.","PeriodicalId":185697,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Inventive Communication and Computational Technologies (ICICCT)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124926242","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the biggest stumbling blocks in the proliferation of electric vehicles is the issue of conveniently charging electric vehicles. In this paper, a smart, low cost ac charging system for electric vehicles is discussed. This is accomplished by having a two-part system in which one part deals with the operation of dispensing electric energy and displaying usage and the other part looks after operations such as billing, storing usage data, customer information etc.","PeriodicalId":185697,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Inventive Communication and Computational Technologies (ICICCT)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125413499","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To solve this problem, Personalization is considered as a popular solution to customize the World Wide Web environment toward the user's preferences. Recent study shows that Web Usage Mining techniques play an important role in designing Web page recommendation systems. However the present conventional content-based recommender systems, built using the Web Usage Mining process, do not take Semantic Knowledge into pattern discovery and recommendation process. Recent studies show that integrating domain knowledge in the form of ontology into Web Usage Mining process can enhance the quality of the discovered usage patterns. Our work aims to incorporate semantics knowledge in all the phases of Web Usage mining process. CloSpan, a state-of-the-art algorithm for Sequential Pattern mining is applied over the Semantic space to generate frequent Sequential Patterns. The generated semantically enriched patterns are fed to Web page Recommendation model in offline phase. Experimental results shown are promising and showed a significant improvement on the quality of the recommendations.","PeriodicalId":185697,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Inventive Communication and Computational Technologies (ICICCT)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130219770","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These distributed generating units are integrated to form a micro grid to serve the loads among the locality, which is in connection with the utility grid for power exchange. These DGS can be operated at two modes grid connected mode & stand alone mode. Distributed generators can provide high reliability by providing on-site generation. Distributed generation has advantages like elimination of transmission losses, utilization of green fuels and reduction of load demand upon the utility grid resulting in reduction of fossil fuel consumption. Many DGSs are available like PV cells, wind turbine, diesel and small hydro systems. This paper optimizes the operation of PV-FC system with a storage device under DC grid connected mode and provides simulation results. There are many techniques available for sizing of the systems which are complicated in designing, optimizing and also not provides accurate simulation results. HOMER is software used for the simulation and analysis of the hybrid system which simplifies the task of evaluating designs. HOMER's optimization and sensitivity analysis algorithms make it easier to evaluate possible number of design configurations. It provides highly feasible simulation results compared to the other sizing techniques.","PeriodicalId":185697,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Inventive Communication and Computational Technologies (ICICCT)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123114186","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To formulate d-q transformation for single-phase system an imaginary vector is considered and achieved by providing a /2 delay to the original signal.
