The emergence of solutions favouring the digitalisation of the relatively change-resistant real estate sector is a response to the changing needs and preferences of customers in this market. Taking up the topic within the framework of PropTech in the local real estate market aims to contribute to the discussion in this area and to identify opportunities for the uptake of new technologies in Polish conditions. The area of real estate development activity in the residential market with regard to the use of modern technologies in the business was selected for analysis. Aim of the paper: The main aim of the paper is to analyse to what extent developers are aware of and interested in modern technologies. The 3 following goals were adopted: G1: assessment of the developers' state of knowledge in the field of modern technologies (PropTech); G2: identifying areas that, in the opinion of developers, have the greatest potential for implementing modern technologies; G3: perspectives for the use of modern technologies in the studied areas. Materials and methods: In order to achieve the intended goals, a survey questionnaire was carried out among developers on the real estate market in Poznań. Results and conclusions: As the survey shows, the development of Proptech for developers is still at a rather early stage. Despite the fact that, in their opinion, customers already have expectations in terms of modern technologies and pay attention to environmentally friendly solutions, they use the available solutions only to a small extent, as if forgetting (or not knowing) that the possibilities for implementing modern technologies are much greater and cover many more areas. Design/methodology/approach: The article is cognitive in nature and the basic research method is the analysis of literature on the subject. Literature studies include the analysis of domestic and foreign literature. The article also uses a case study based on the analysis of internal documentation of a selected mining enterprise. Findings: The analysis of the literature performed shows that the theory of motivation has undergone a significant evolution. Contemporary motivation systems should draw from all theories, which will allow us to construct a comprehensive and diverse motivation systems. Research limitations/implications: The survey research presented in the article is theoretical in its nature and may contribute to further empirical research. Practical implications: The practical implications of the conducted research make it possible to use them to build motivation systems in enterprises. Originality/value: The literature review regarding the subject indicates the need for a comprehensive approach to building a motivation system in an enterprise. Motowidlak","doi":"10.29119/1641-3466.2023.170.22","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.29119/1641-3466.2023.170.22","url":null,"abstract":"Purpose: The aim of the study is to identify the essential attributes that determine the development of a sustainable, innovative and resistant to disruption transport infrastructure and to answer two research questions: How to shape models for the development of sustainable and innovative transport infrastructure, while maintaining the logistic continuity of mobility and transport systems? and What actions should organizations take in the conditions of permanent change in order to maintain operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness of implemented investments, not only thinking about the possible return of the pandemic, but also about increasingly difficult access to resources, climate change and social needs? Design/methodology/approach: The research methods and techniques used included, among others: content analysis, cause and effect analysis, selected methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis, which were used to present and discuss the results of the study. Findings: Searching for methods of operationalization of the implementation of the assumptions of the new development paradigm, a conceptual framework for the model of sustainable development of transport infrastructure was developed. EU programs and instruments supporting the financing of activities in the field of development of sustainable, innovative and resilient transport infrastructure were reviewed. Attributes were indicated so that the development would strive for the simultaneous implementation of economic, social and environmental goals. Research limitations/implications: The study did not measure the sustainability of infrastructure investments in transport. The precondition for successfully performing such a task is the availability of an accurate data set and the selection of appropriate measurement indicators. This has implications for future research. Practical implications: One of the key challenges in cities is making decisions about investments in the development of economically effective, environmentally safe and socially important transport infrastructure. Hence, the development of algorithmic approaches that allow the use of the proposed qualitative model may contribute to improving the efficiency in making investment decisions. Originality/value: The originality of the conducted research was achieved through its measurable character. The proposed model can contribute to the improvement of decision- making tools in the field of allocation of public and other funds for investments, so that they contribute to the sustainability of mobility systems. Design/methodology/approach: The article is theoretical and empirical in nature and is based on the analysis of a selected case. In the empirical part, the analysis concerns selected elements of the production process in the examined enterprise. Findings: The results obtained in the article refer to the benefits of using Lean Management in the production process in the analyzed enterprise. The use of identification and elimination of waste and standardization of activities at workplaces (introduction of job instructions) in selected areas of the production process allowed for the improvement of its parameters, which was presented in the article. Research limitations/implications: The limitations in the empirical area could be the reference only to selected aspects of Lean Management and the analyzed process. Future research will cover the broader scope of Lean Management and other companies. Practical implications: The results of the case study show the direct impact of Lean Management on the parameters of the analyzed production process. Thanks to the use of Lean Management, the process parameters have improved, which is an important factor in the context of the effectiveness of the company's functioning as a system. Methodology: The authors conducted a review of available literature and data sources related to the COVID-19 situation in Poland. Information was gathered from official government websites, academic journals, news articles, and other relevant sources. Findings: Poland is actively taking steps to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, including enhancing testing facilities, increasing the budget for infectious hospitalization, initiating a national immunization program, and implementing strict regulatory measures against SARS-CoV-2. However, despite these efforts, the country is currently facing a surge in cases due to the emergence of the Omicron variant. Practical implications: The information presented in this article can be useful for policymakers, healthcare professionals, and the general public in understanding the current COVID-19 situation in Poland and the measures being taken to combat the virus. This knowledge can help inform decisions related to public health policies and individual behaviors to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
