Generally, the existing decorrelators are prone to have a comb-filter effect which results in an undesirable “metallic” sound and produce temporal smearing such as pre- and post-echoes artefacts. This paper presents an accurate decorrelation method based on solving the two decorrelation-related functions in complex-frequency domain. Using this method, a novel parametric stereo coding system is proposed. In this system, a modified discrete cosine transform and a modified discrete sine transform are used to transform stereo signals from time domain to complex-frequency domain for calculating the stereo parametric, and the Advanced Audio Coding module of MPEG-4 is chosen to perform the mono-channel coding and decoding process. The results of the subjective evaluation experiments show that the proposed system perform better than the HE-AAC system","PeriodicalId":184170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing (ICALIP)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117040455","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It's difficult to recover fine grained details via a general dictionary, trained through the diversified training samples, due to the negli-gence of structural characteristics. Thus, the dictionary whic-h is adaptive to local structures is needed. Considering the eigenvalues of structure tensor are convenient to distinguish the edge regions and the smooth regions, we construct a sca-lar texture feature descriptor to present texture information of image. It is employed for clustering low and high resolution patches in the training stage and for model selection in the reconstruction stage. Tight sub-dictionary is learned for each cluster. For a given test image patch, the corresponding sub-dictionary is adaptively selected, and then super-resolution reconstruction of this image is completed. Com-pared with the recently proposed dictionary learning met-hods for image super-resolution reconstruction, the algorit-hm preserves more details and ensures the quality of the reconstructed image.","PeriodicalId":184170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing (ICALIP)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115495374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Compressive Tracking (CT) method proposed by Zhang performs perfectly in real-time detecting due to its simple computational load. However, the accuracy will decline due to the imperfection of prediction model as slight inaccuracies lead to cumulative faults in training examples selection, then the classifier degrades and the object is lost in tracking process. Particle filtering (PF), a framework widely used in object tracking, is highly extensible and is able to handle non-linearity and non-normality to some extent. We integrate compressive sensing into particle filtering, so that the strengths of the both methodologies are incorporated into the algorithm. Features are compressively sensed for every particle, and the result is regarded as the weight. Meanwhile, a second-order auto regressive model is introduced for particle transition model in order to predict motions of object efficiently. Therefore, our algorithm can surmount overlap and ambiguities and handle drifting problem flexibly. In terms of efficiency, accuracy and robustness, the combined tracking algorithm runs in real-time and performs favorably against state-of-the-art methods on some challenging sequences.","PeriodicalId":184170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing (ICALIP)","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114150751","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SGWFT shows good properties, and is similar to Discrete Fourier Transformation in many ways. SGWFT has lower complexity with less number of multiplications required than the DFT, which makes it has a better performance in potential applications. In this paper, SGWFT is used to derive new shape descriptor (SGWFD) for shape image retrieval. The new descriptor uses a complex shape signature to express sampled shape, and then applies SGWFT to the signature. The resulting transform coefficients are used as corresponding shape features to form SGWFD. The image retrieval performance of the proposed descriptor is evaluated on the Swedish leaf database using standard measurement, and the experimental results show that the proposed SGWFD outperforms Fourier descriptor.","PeriodicalId":184170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing (ICALIP)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116149705","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The multi-GPU parallel encoding computing is often implemented by multi-threads mode. Based on the analysis of the GPU multi-level storage structure, and data transmission between CPU and GPU, pinned memory (zero-copy memory) and shared memory approaches are used to shorten the time of encoded video data transmission between devices. In this paper the latest support low-latency remote display's GPU and H.264 compression standard are used for the desktop virtualization environment. The experimental results show that the usage of CPU and the transmission bandwidth has been significantly decreased, and the performance of virtual environments has been improved.","PeriodicalId":184170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing (ICALIP)","volume":"264 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126053203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its difficulties mainly result from abrupt human object motion, object occlusion and object scale change, and changing object appearance due to changes in illumination and viewpoint, non-rigid deformations, intra-class variability in shape and posture, and potential camera movement, non-overlapping field of views between cameras. This paper surveys the frameworks of human detection and tracking systems over camera networks with non-overlapping field of views. There are three crucial functional modules discussed in this survey paper, namely, human detection under a single camera, human tracking under a single camera as well as human tracking across multiple cameras with non-overlapping field of views. Existing problems, challenges and future research directions are also addressed based on the analyses of the research status of each function module.","PeriodicalId":184170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing (ICALIP)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126362443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For stock market, how to effectively select stocks from a reference sector is very important for investors. Based on the co-movement effect between stocks, this paper introduces a concept which is the stock's influence and constructs the influence matrix by using the time series of stocks. Then we divide the new stock sector by using the concept of responsibility and availabilities in Affinity Propagation (AP)cluster. In our experiment, we conducted experiments on more than 2000stocks in 4 different periods of time. Experimental results show that the sector division method has better cohesion, and there are some interesting rules such as: The number of sectors changes with the market up and down, as well as part of the industry's stock often gathered together.","PeriodicalId":184170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing (ICALIP)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126448016","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, without preserving the original scene detail, tone mapping may produce various artifacts and their fidelity will be severely decreased. In this paper, we propose a new detail-preserving refinement method to efficiently improve the fidelity of tone mapping. Its overall flow includes the four key steps: tone initialization, detail extraction, tone reconstruction, and detail restoration. First of all, we employ clustering and decomposition to obtain initial tone layer and detail map. Then we construct detail affinity and gradient guidance to optimize the detail map and reconstruct the new tone layer. Finally, we combine them to produce a high-fidelity result of tone mapping. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method through a number of experiments in visual comparison, and verify its high-efficiency performance in execution time.","PeriodicalId":184170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing (ICALIP)","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134010361","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Traditional skinning methods need a lot of manual work to build skeleton and paint weights, which can only be done by professional Animators. Recently, most researches are focusing on automatic skinning methods, so that the animators can complete model deformation much more easily. In this paper, we propose a robust automatic skinning method to realize real-time deformation. We first precisely embedding a skeleton by designing a penalty function, then the weights are computed by minimizing the Laplacian energy subject to bound constraints. The result shows that this method has a great performance for arbitrary models, especially for those who have the similar shapes with human beings.","PeriodicalId":184170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing (ICALIP)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129820985","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
