The conceptual design and analysis of such extreme applications require test beds of the same calibre which are able to comply with the complexity of the working mechanism. Wind tunnel is one such apparatus where scale models of the prototypes can be tested. Alike all apparatus even wind tunnels has to be calibrated on a regular basis which ensures that the readings obtained from the instrument are acceptable and the error margin are within the limitations. Thus there is a need for instruments which can accurately measure the various properties of the wind tunnel, namely the flow angularity, velocity distribution, speed setting etc. Taking into account the various requirements a claw yaw is designed, simulated and tested in a wind tunnel and the results are discussed.","PeriodicalId":184108,"journal":{"name":"3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON FRONTIERS IN AUTOMOBILE AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (FAME 2020)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124033675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the exhaustion of fuel supplies and increased fuel rates needs alternative fuels. A considerable amount of interest has been shown by researchers to evaluate different plant and vegetable oils as are placement of diesel. Based on this background NOx emission is produced during combustion of fuels at high temperature. Excessive release of NOx causes several effects on living organisms and environment. In this work, the efforts to reduce NOx emission by developing Catalytic converter device for a diesel engine fueled with diesel and Cedar wood biodiesel fuel are discussed. Catalytic converter is vital after treatment technology attempted in this work to simultaneous control of NOx, HC, and PM emissions. The experiment was conducted on a 1500rpm, four-stroke, diesel engine with single cylinder which is water cooled.","PeriodicalId":184108,"journal":{"name":"3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON FRONTIERS IN AUTOMOBILE AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (FAME 2020)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127672519","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the present work Aqua silencer is designed and the exhaust pipe is fitted to an engine. The gases like HC, CO from the engine are absorbed through the exhaust. Automobile gas analyzer is used to analyze the final emission and the reduction of gases HC, CO is measured. Hence, the primary concern is selected as removal of these pollutants. Therefore, the objective of the present work is to reduce emission noise from engine and test the ability of an Aqua Silencer in removing air pollutants.","PeriodicalId":184108,"journal":{"name":"3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON FRONTIERS IN AUTOMOBILE AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (FAME 2020)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123357228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this paper is synthesis of bio-oils derived from poultry litter suchas feathers, chicken excreta, spilled feed and other bedding materials. This bio-oil when blended in required proportion gives numerous applications in the region of biofuels and energy generation. The best and effective way that can be implemented for production of biofuel from poultry litter is Pyrolysis process. The experiment is conducted by slow pyrolysis methods which are having temperatures nearly 500°C (932°F). The properties of the bio-oil obtained from the process were analyzed and the biofuel is tested in DI Diesel engine. The product of this process also includes char rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium content which has a great ability to be used as manure for agricultural purposes.","PeriodicalId":184108,"journal":{"name":"3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON FRONTIERS IN AUTOMOBILE AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (FAME 2020)","volume":"128 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127350965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
