Design and fabrication of aqua silencer

Abstract

In recent years there has been an increasing concern over the emission of toxic gases from the engines like NOX, CO, CO2, and hydrocarbon into environment. In the present work Aqua silencer is designed and the exhaust pipe is fitted to an engine. The gases like HC, CO from the engine are absorbed through the exhaust. Automobile gas analyzer is used to analyze the final emission and the reduction of gases HC, CO is measured. Hence, the primary concern is selected as removal of these pollutants. Therefore, the objective of the present work is to reduce emission noise from engine and test the ability of an Aqua Silencer in removing air pollutants.
