This converter stage is suitable for applications of DC and AC motor drives. In this converter, for a given duty cycle, the output to input voltage ratio can be raised by adding transformer turns ratio. Another important feature of this converter is the lower blocking voltage across the controlled switches compared to similar circuits, which allows the utilization of MOSFETs switches with lower conduction resistances RDS(on). In order to verify the feasibility of this topology; principle of operation, theoretical analysis, and experimental waveforms are shown for a 500 W assembled prototype.","PeriodicalId":183864,"journal":{"name":"2009 Brazilian Power Electronics Conference","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128747689","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This analysis is based on a comparison between the circulating energy of zero voltage transition (ZVT) and integrated zero voltage transition (iZVT) in auxiliary commutations circuits (ACC), both attached to the same double-conversion UPS. Two advantages are obtained in relation to classic ACC by using the technique of integration of ACC: the minimization of the reactive circulating energy and the reduction in the number of additional components. Thus, in iZVT UPS, it is obtained ZVT commutation for all the main switches and zero current switching (ZCS) or zero voltage switching (ZVS) for the auxiliary switches. The experimental results of the system rated at 1.2kW@70kHz are presented.","PeriodicalId":183864,"journal":{"name":"2009 Brazilian Power Electronics Conference","volume":"21 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116402331","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The complex gain controller was applied on stator field orientation control and it was designed and tuned by frequency-response function of the closed loop system. The complex gain controller has a minor complexity to the induction motor control implementation. The stator flux orientation control means a current control by using stator flux orientation and direct torque control.
