The general objective is to investigate the main characteristics of teacher education, with emphasis on issues associated with the adapted curriculum. Regarding the definition of specific objectives, the following was established: to verify conceptual aspects about teacher education in the educational environment of Brazil; investigate relevant issues about diversity in the educational context; analyze the advantages of the curriculum adapted for special education.
