Endodontic therapy is one of the possible treatment\u0000 modalities for CAP, but the prognosis depends on numerous factors. The size\u0000 of the periapical lesion is always singled out as one of the most\u0000 significant, as its increase drastically decreases the degree of success of\u0000 endodontic therapy. Certain periapex radiographic indices (PAI, CBCT-PAI,\u0000 PESS) are used to evaluate the size and characteristics of the periapical\u0000 lesion, as well as to monitor the outcome of the implemented therapy. A\u0000 30-year-old patient presented with pain caused by an acute exacerbation of\u0000 CAP on tooth 37. Radiographic analysis revealed the presence of an\u0000 extensive, diffuse radiolucency in the area of tooth 37. A complete\u0000 endodontic procedure was performed. One year after, there were clear,\u0000 radiographic signs of the reduction of the lesion. Findings of periapical\u0000 radiographic indices indicated the success of therapy as well. The aim of this study was to analyze working surfaces of new\u0000 hand endodontic instruments and to check possible existence of dirt or\u0000 defects on working surface that resulted from manufacturing process using\u0000 SEM. Material and methods. Three sets of new hand instruments: K-File (KF),\u0000 (18 instruments) (Dentsply Maillefer, Switzerland) and Hedstorm Files (HF),\u0000 (18 instruments) (SybronEndo Co, USA) were used. Instruments were analyzed\u0000 by SEM method at 170? magnification while semi-quantitative EDS analysis was\u0000 used to determine chemical composition of dirt particles. Fisher test (p <\u0000 0.05) was applied in statistical analysis. Results. Results showed that none\u0000 of the instruments was defect-free. The most common defects were metal\u0000 strips and fretting noticed at the surface of all tested instruments. Debris\u0000 was present on all KF (100% in apical and middle third) and HF (56% in\u0000 apical and 56% in middle third) instruments. Patients with orthodontic diagnosis of spacing most often\u0000 require a multidisciplinary approach, which includes orthodontic and\u0000 following restorative treatment to enhance the esthetic outcome. The aim of\u0000 this case report is to present management of spacing in the anterior region\u0000 by orthodontic treatment followed by partial veneers using the injectable\u0000 composite resin technique. Case report. In this case, leveling and alignment\u0000 of dental arches and stable occlusion was achieved during orthodontic\u0000 treatment, with the correction of upper and lower incisor inclination and\u0000 closing the diastemas. Intraoral and extraoral esthetic parameters were\u0000 evaluated on the photographs, and partial veneers on lateral incisors and\u0000 canines were designed for the wax-up model. In the injectable composite\u0000 resin technique, the silicone index was used to transfer the wax-up to\u0000 composite restorations. The highly filled injectable composite resin was\u0000 injected through the silicone index and light-cured. The restoration\u0000 required only gentle polishing due to the great precision of the index.\u0000 Discussion. Post-orthodontic recontouring in the anterior region is mostly\u0000 done by direct composite restorations because they are cost-effective,\u0000 minimally invasive, and the procedure is relatively simple. The injectable\u0000 resin composite technique can be a solution for the same indication since it\u0000 is less technique sensitive and gives predictable and great esthetic\u0000 results, mostly without tooth preparation. Conclusion. Management of\u0000 anterior spacing in adult patients requires a comprehensive approach for\u0000 optimal esthetic and functional results. In this case, orthodontic treatment\u0000 was followed by partial veneers on lateral incisors and canines, using the\u0000 injectable composite resin technique as a simple and predictable solution\u0000 for minor restorative interventions to solve morphological tooth\u0000 abnormalities in the esthetic smile zone.

This is supported by research data related to the\u0000 frequency of implant therapy, according to which in the first half of 2020\u0000 there was an increase of 9.7%. However, anatomical limitations remain a\u0000 challenge for the implant team. ALBO-HA (Vinca, Serbia) is new nanostructured calcium aluminate\u0000 cement, synthesized as a potential alternative to mineral trioxide aggregate\u0000 (MTA). The purpose of this study was to compare the periapical tissue\u0000 response to new nanostructured calcium aluminate cement ALBO-HA with white\u0000 MTA (MTA Angelus, Londrina, Brasil) as root-filling material into the root\u0000 canal of sheep?s teeth. Material and methods. Sixteen mandibular incisors\u0000 from two 24-month-old sheep were used. Root canals were prepared and filled\u0000 with ALBO-HA (group 1) or MTA (group 2) (eight teeth per group in each\u0000 sheep). Temporomandibular disorder (TMD) is a collective term for\u0000 numerous symptoms, with the most common being masticatory muscle pain, pain\u0000 in temporomandibular joints, limited mouth opening, irregular jaw movements,\u0000 headaches and sound effects in TMJ. The aim was to determine the prevalence\u0000 and severity of TMD in orthodontic patients determining whether the type of\u0000 malocclusion affects the prevalence and severity of TMD. Material and\u0000 Methods. The study was conducted in the form of Fonseca Anamnestic Index,\u0000 which classifies TMD severity among examinees (no TMD, mild, moderate and\u0000 severe TMD). The experimental group consisted of orthodontic patients with\u0000 confirmed malocclusions, while the control group consisted of dental\u0000 students with a Class I occlusion and no need for orthodontic treatment.\u0000 Orthodontic patients were classified into the three subgroups based on\u0000 malocclusions. Results. In the experimental group, 45.03% of orthodontic\u0000 patients had some degree of TMD, while among students, that percentage was\u0000 56.41%. Compared to Class I, higher percentage of TMD was found among\u0000 patients with distal and mesial occlusion in experimental group. In the\u0000 experimental and control groups, the greatest percentage of participants\u0000 showed mild TMD. The prevalence of TMD was greater in females than in males\u0000 in the experimental group. Conclusion.
