The use of wind energy for residential in remote areas that are not connected to the grid is very important. Compared to large-scale wind turbines, small-scale wind turbines are more suitable for residential because they can be integrated with building, easy to assembly and low cost maintenance. One of the most widely used wind turbine technologies is small-scale wind turbines with permanent magnet synchronous generators (PMSG). To be able to meet household electricity needs, electronic power is needed which plays an important role in wind turbine systems. In this paper the power electronic design for small-scale wind turbine systems is simple, easy to assembly and low cost. The system consists of a 500 watt PMSG, three phase uncontrolled rectifier, buck converter, microcontroller and battery as energy storage. The wind turbine system will charge the battery at a constant voltage. The constant voltage setting to the battery is carried out by the microcontroller through the duty cycle setting sent to the buck converter. We are investigating to use the bioelectric potential of living plants as a human sensor system in an indoor environment. The system utilizes a change of the bioelectric potential to estimate a resident’s location in a room. To build an estimation model, a lot of the bioelectric potential data are collected and processed by a machine learning method. We have studied to build the estimation model using a convolutional neural network. However, recently, there are many applications that utilize Long-Short Term Memory method for a time sequential data, and they obtained a good result successfully. Therefore, in this study we applied LSTM for the bioelectric potential data and investigate the availability of CNN and LSTM to estimate the location with the bioelectric potential. As the result of classification experiments with the model trained with collected bioelectric data, we obtained that CNN is better than LSTM for this problem. These human factors include traffic signs violation and riding above the speed limit. Besides that, road condition also affects traffic accident, such as a pothole, speed bump and lack of traffic signs. In the case of a fatality, the highest proportion of fatalities is 22.4% of the total 145,478 victims occurred in 2011. Head injury is the main factor of casualties by 70%. Based on these statistics, the role of a helmet as a head protector must be worn by motorcycle riders and make sure the strap perfectly locked. To overcome this problem, this study introduces a smart helmet system to warn the rider when they meet dangerous factors that risk causing traffic accident. These factors are when the rider has not worn the helmet and lock the strap and speeding above the speed limit. Other than that, this study offers a new feature to warn the rider when passing through the obstacle such as potholes or speed bump at unsafe speed. This feature is offered because of the bad road condition in Indonesia contributes to traffic accidents. From the test’s results, the smart helmet system in this study has an average response time of 1.4 seconds in the helmet use and strap lock detection system and 0.3 seconds in speed and shock detection system. This study was performed to gain a root cause of the failure based on field data and the simulation program. Historical recorded data from relay showed the occurred phenomena during the disturbance. Some hypotheses were built from that relay data. Furthermore, to ensure the hypotheses, simulation was conducted by modelling the system and considering recorded data from relay. According to the field data and simulation, it was found that the cause of the SF6 LBS failure was arcing on one of the loose contacts. Arcing lead phase to ground fault. Arcing lasted for a long time because the fire extinguisher ability of SF6 had degraded. If PID controller involves fractional order calculus then it will form a new type of controller called FOPID. However, FOPID poses a new problem that is on tuning the controller parameters. Therefore this research will propose metaheuristic method as FOPID tuning technique namely CEM. This research was conducted using step response simulation with DC motor model system. Tuning process is done using CEM program based on 3 tuning criterias. Therefore a decission support system is highly demanded to help prospective students to decide the right choice. Considered factors in taking the programs of study selection are vary among people. Determining the best combination of atributes to achieve the best selection to support prospective students is important. We use student data and it’s atributes as well as their choice as a dataset. This research implements classification algorithm and regression trees (CART). An Evaluation of CART algorithm using combination of 3,4,5 and 6 available students data atributes has been carried out. The use of telecommunications technology which is now growing rapidly is the smart phone where one of the operating systems used in smart phones is the Android operating system, Android provides an open platform for users to create their own applications that have been used if various mobile devices. In addition to the development of communication technology, there is also a Quick Response Code or QR Code that has the meaning of a code that can convey information quickly with a quick response. QR Code can not only store horizontal information such as barcodes but can also store information vertically. This study aims to build a presence system using an Android operating system. Presence system with QR code. The QR code used is the Generate QR Code to display the QR code and read by students with the QR Code Reader. The use of International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is also used to validate mobile phone owners so that mobile phones cannot be used by other students. The presence process can be done by reading the QR Code from the lecturer’s cellphone, reading the QR Code can also be via the web which will be displayed by the lecturer through the Projector, students can only read from their seats. Such as, decision tree (J48), multilayer perceptron, ANN, CNN, and etc. However, to find the best accuracy is a seriously challenge because the previous studies did not obtain a satisfied result. Furthermore, Because the data is sequence form, it is interesting if analyzed by deep learning (LSTM) and time series method (ARIMA). Both of methods are have the same characteristics. This approach is a new contribution for this topic. Therefore, the aim of this research is to compare LSTM and ARIMA method for analyzing bioelectric potential data set. For determining the accuracy, we use root mean square error (RMSE) and mean absolute error (MAE). Motor speed can change as the load changes on the motor. Unstable motor speed can cause interference with the system. Control is needed so that the motor can rotate at the rpm set point. For the speed control method used is a constant V / f. This method has the advantage of being able to stabilize the torque produced by the motor with a load correction on the motor. Torque is affected by fluxes produced by the stator. By maintaining the voltage and frequency ratio of the stator, the motor can maintain speed at the rpm set point. In this paper, the control method used is the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). So that the voltage and frequency ratio of the stator is kept constant with ANFIS control to get a stable speed according to the set point. For the validation of the results, a single phase induction motor with 250 watts of power is tested.
