This paper proposes the application of an Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA) for the optimal expansion planning of large distribution network, solving the optimal sizing, siting and timing of medium voltage substation, using related fixed and variable costs subject to any operating and optimization constraints. A step by step expansion design and planning is proposed to consider dynamic behavior of the load forecasting uncertainty, asset management and geographical constraints. In order to reach the global solution, an effective coding for the ICA parameter is developed. The value of loads' density in every site is determined by mid and long-term load forecasting program. Being different from the traditional Z-source inverter, EZ-source inverters are constructed by inserting dc sources into the X-shaped impedance network so that the dc input current flows smoothly during the whole switching period unlike the traditional Z-source inverter. Fully parallel embedded Z-Source (FPEZ-source) inverters are one of the EZ-source inverters topologies with two isolated dc sources are embedded with each inductor of X-shaped network in series and so we can use two PV panel in this structure. The control system consist of two parts: one part adjusts the shoot through time for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) by simple dp/dv method and another part generate the reference current for FPEZ-source inverter to inject maximum available power of PV array to grid with high quality and maintain DC link capacitor voltage in its reference value. As a consequence, the use of stored energy to support and optimize the generation, transmission, and distribution subsystems has been grown up worldwide. One of the ESS applications is using them for load leveling. Since network losses is a square function of current, shifting load from peak to off-peak periods can potentially reduce system losses. This paper gives a quantitative survey of the possible reduction in losses, for a situation where distribution feeder load is shifted in time but not reduced. Load leveling practice will be done by an ESS unit installed in the distribution substation. Various factors governing loss reduction such as transformer side installation (MVlLV) are analyzed. Also, required ESS characteristics like Ampere-hour (Ah) capacity, current, power, and charge /discharge speed to ideally leveling the load are presented. Simulation results show that besides loss reduction, load leveling has a significant impact on network capacity. This study is applied research, and correctional study, was conducted in 1390. The Statistical Society included 100 people from employees of Shiraz electric distribution company. In this study, measurement tools, was standardized questionnaires. Islamic ethics questionnaire Yousef Darwish, 2000, Spector Job Satisfaction Questionnaire, 1997, blav intention to leave questionnaire 1978 and Alen and Mier organizational commitment questionnaire 2004. Lisrel and Spss software were used for analysis. The results confirm the causal model. Results of research showed that ethical climate has positive effect on organizational commitment and and job satisfaction and organizational commitment have negative effect on intention to leave. The larger the time delay in which protection detects and clears the fault, the more likely loss of synchronism will be, especially in the networks with internal generation. Over current protection schemes inherently operates with considerable delay. Moreover, system dynamic oscillations discernibly aggravate their performance. Therefore utilizing them as main protection is controversial and even abortive in order to maintain system stability. In this paper, transient stability of a real industrial network is studied. The study is investigated using critical clearing time (CCT) criterion for different network configuration. Equipments such as generators and motors are modeled and simulated by DIgSILENT software. It proposes a very fast and robust algorithm to identify and measure PQ disturbances. The capability of this algorithm to recognize and measure disturbances in both time and frequency domains will assist in precise disturbance localization and detection. Many case studies considered here, containing voltage swell, voltage sag, harmonics, interharmonics, transients, voltage changes with multiple frequencies, voltage fluctuation, or flicker and voltage disrupt will be investigated comprehensively by using this new time-frequency analysis method. Lack of the customer knowledge about how to respond to the time-differentiated tariffs and offered controlling signals is the major obstacle in the way of broad DR implementing. As a solution, an optimization method, namely load control (LC), is proposed to automatically control the on/off status of the responsive appliances in a smart home. This paper focuses on the direct load control (DLC) program in the category of incentive-based DR programs. LC is extended to consider inconvenience cost of the DLC implementation for DLC program participants. Outputs of the extended LC would be an advice for the customer to determine whether it is financially profitable to participate in the offered DLC program or not. Using such a model, considering shunt filters is so complicated. Implementing filters is the most popular method of harmonic elimination in networks which contain FACTS & power electronic devices. Also, there is a need to simulate the real model of power network and STATCOM switching model. This type of modelling provides us with the capability of doing some important studies such as: fault analysis, stability analysis and other similar analyses about the interaction between STATCOM and the power network operation. In this paper, a real power and switching model of STAT COM accompanied by an efficient controller in presence of a shunt filter is proposed. This model makes it possible to easily adapt the controller operation in presence of filter, with no necessity of solving the complicated equations which exist in signal-based models. Using this model, the controller is designed when the shunt filter is utilized. Moreover, the effectiveness of filter utilization in reducing the current THD is also studied.
