The algorithm produces discrete three-dimensional geometric representations of both arterial and venous networks. The key feature of the algorithm is that growth begins from the root points and it can work with any enclosed geometry. The main difference of proposed method is that blood perfusion occurs mainly in capillary. Two different methods of constructing blood velocity vector field in tissue accounting capillary blood flow are presented. It is needed for precise thermal analysis using the modified bio-heat equation to provide better prediction of thermal response of tissues exposed to RF energy.","PeriodicalId":178792,"journal":{"name":"2008 13th International Seminar/Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130039634","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An attempt is made to establish the connection between the method applicability and existence of the Herglotz functions approximating the eigenoscillation field inside the body. Two propositions are given concerning convergence of the method for two cases when a Herglotz function coinciding with this field exists or not. Numerical results shoving the fast decreasing of the appropriate functional with increasing the number of measured patterns, are presented. Two ways of computer modeling of the input data are numerically compared.","PeriodicalId":178792,"journal":{"name":"2008 13th International Seminar/Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121912798","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Location-based applications for handheld wireless communication devices may represent a significant revenue stream for cellular operators and may therefore add value to global positioning system (GPS) enabled handsets. Location-enabled features may also be desirable or even required, for instance, in professional and public safety radios. In order for location-based applications to provide the required quality-of-service (QoS), as it may be defined from case to case depending on the type of application, it is critical to implement GPS systems capable of operating reliably in the envisioned use scenarios.","PeriodicalId":178792,"journal":{"name":"2008 13th International Seminar/Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121951359","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The frequency-dependent complex magnetic susceptibility of the soil is approximated using a standard approach that assumes that the magnetic relaxation time is uniformly distributed between two time constants. We compare simulations to experimental data in order to illustrate the applicability and evaluate the speed and validity of our image model and to assess the effect of permeable soil on MPV-TD measurements.","PeriodicalId":178792,"journal":{"name":"2008 13th International Seminar/Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131243193","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
