The experimental technique and the obtained nanostructured and amorphous layers of coatings with different properties are described. The results of studies of the microstructure, defects, elemental composition and electrochemical parameters of the obtained coatings are shown. The analysis of the corrosion behavior by the characteristics of corrosion currents density, polarization resistances, coatings electrochemical activity in 3 % NaCl solution is presented. The control was carried out on preliminarily prepared samples of steel 09G2S, which passed the stage of crystallization annealing of the coating to the required hardness. The quality of the coating after the control and after 24 hours was evaluated with a reagent consisting of potassium synergistic and sodium chloride. It is established that the load is 0,2; 0,3 and 0,5 kgf are not suitable for reliable measurement of the microhardness of the coating due to a violation of its integrity and distortion of the microhardness indicators. A load of 0,05 kgf is unacceptable due to obtaining diagonals that are a multiple of the smaller confidence interval of 0,02 mm. Simultaneously with the achievement of new structures by means of stamping, powder parts are given the required shapes. In the manufacture of powder parts such as cups, the combination of cold forging and electrohydraulic processing opens up new opportunities in increasing the high density of parts at the stage preceding sintering, increasing the depth of the cavity, and reducing the wall thickness of parts. In particular, this makes it possible to make from not passed sintering semi-finished products thin slice for metallographic studies.
