Ciliwung is one of the rivers that flow to Jakarta via Puncak, Bogor Regency, Bogor City, Depok City and empties into the Bay of Jakarta. In 2015, the quality status of the upstream Ciliwung river had moderate polluted status. One parameter for reviewing water quality is nutrient content (phosphate and nitrogen). The presence of high nutrients can stimulate the growth of algae in waters that can harm the aquatic ecosystem. This study shows that there is a relations and positive relations with a correlation coefficient of 0.508 on the nitrogen and phosphate compounds in the upstream Ciliwung river water pollution. The concentration of nitrogen compounds is higher than that of phosphate.Keywords: Ciliwung, Nitrogen, Phosphates, River, Relations. ABSTRAK Sungai merupakan suatu habitat bagi berbagai jenis organisme akuatik yang dapat memberikan gambaran mengenai keadaan sungai, seperti kualitas dan kuantitas dari hubungan ekologis yang terjadi didalamnya. Sungai Ciliwung merupakan salah satu sungai yang mengalir kearah Jakarta melalui Puncak, Kabupaten Bogor, Kota Bogor, Kota Depok dan bermuara ke Teluk Jakarta. Pada tahun 2015, status mutu sungai Ciliwung bagian hulu memiliki status tercemar sedang. Salah satu parameter peninjauan kualitas air adalah kandungan zat hara (fosfat dan nitrogen). Keberadaan zat hara yang tinggi dapat menstimulasi ledakkan pertumbuhan algae di perairan yang dapat merugikan ekosistem perairan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan yang sedang dan positif dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,508 terhadap senyawaan nitrogen dan fosfat pada pencemaran air sungai Ciliwung bagian hulu. Arabica coffee has superior quality and taste compared to others. Coffee has been widely processed into grounded coffee products. The quality of ground coffee is influenced by many factors; one of them is processing. In the processing of coffee fruit into coffee beans the process that is certain to occur is fermentation. Fermentation affects ground coffee quality products. This study focused on observing the quality of arabica ground coffee fermented by Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The quality parameters of the ground coffee observed include water content, coffee extract and caffeine content. Other qualities supporting parameters are pH of ground coffee and phytochemical test. In addition, the fermentation pH was also observed in the fermentation process, reducing sugar content and qualitative testing of ethanol. Saccharomyces cerevisiae concentration was varied 0% (K0), 1% (K1), 2% (K2), 3% (K3) and 4% (K4) with duration of fermentation is  for 24 hours. The quality of arabica ground coffee products is in accordance with SNI Ground Coffee 01-3542-2004 with the following values: Water content 2,3-1,6% b/b. Coffee extract 30,7-30,3% b/b. Caffeine content 1,18-1,01% b/b. The pH of brewed ground coffee is 6,5-5,1. Alkaloids, saponins and tannins were detected in all different treatments of ground coffee samples. Flavonoids were only detected in the treatment of K0 ground coffee samples. The fermentation pH at the initial state was 5,61 and after fermentation was 4,91-3,89. Reducing sugar content at the initial state was 32,35% b/b and after fermentation 21,2-4,3% b/b. Ethanol was detected in all samples before and after fermentation.Keywords: Coffea Arabica L, Ground Coffee Quality, Fermentation, Saccharomyces cerevisiae ABSTRAK Kopi merupakan salah satu komoditi perkebunan yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang cukup tinggi diantara tanaman perkebunan lainnya. Kopi Arabika memiliki karakteristik dan cita rasa superior dibanding yang lainnya. Kopi banyak diolah menjadi produk kopi bubuk. Karakteristik kopi bubuk dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor salah satunya adalah berdasarkan cara pengolahan. Pada pengolahan dari buah kopi sampai menjadi biji kopi suatu proses yang pasti dilalui, yaitu fermentasi. Fermentasi berpengaruh terhadap karakteristik kopi bubuk yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini difokuskan mengamati karakteristik kopi bubuk Arabika hasil fermentasi menggunakan Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Parameter karakteristik kopi bubuk yang diamati meliputi kadar air, sari kopi dan kadar kafein. Parameter penunjang karakteristik lainnya, yaitu pH seduhan kopi bubuk dan uji fitokimia. Selain itu, pada proses fermentasi juga diamati pH fermentasi, kadar gula pereduksi dan uji kualitatif etanol. According to the International Conservation Agency, the existence of the animal is approaching extinction. Taman Marga Satwa Ragunan is one of Sumatran tiger conservation institution. The purpose of the research was to know the breeding of Sumatran tiger in Ragunan Wildlife Park conservation area, to know the proper conservation strategy for Sumatran tiger and to know Sumatran tiger activity ex-situ. The research was conducted at the Sumatran Tiger in Taman Marga Satwa Ragunan. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis. The purpose of study were to determine the patoghens that cause the wilt disease in the nursery and to study the antagonist Trichoderma sp. against the pathogen causing wilt by in vitro as control efforts. The identification result of disease causing wilt on the gmelina seedlings was pathogenic fungus namely Fusariumi sp. The percentage of antagonist test on Trichoderma harzianum (THA) and Trichoderma Cipanas (TC) inhibiting against Fusarium sp. were 40.31% and 33.55%, respectively.Keywords: Antagonistic, gmelina seedlings, Fusarium sp., wilt diseaseABSTRAK          Bibit gmelina umur 1,5 bulan di persemaian Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Hutan Bogor mengalami serangan penyakit layu dengan persentase serangan sebesar 4,27%. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui patogen yang menyebabkan penyakit layu tersebut di persemaian dan melakukan uji antagonis Trichoderma sp.dengan patogen penyebab layu secara in-vitro sebagai upaya pengendaliannya. Hasil identifikasi penyebab penyakit layu pada bibit gmelina adalah cendawan patogen yaitu Fusarium sp. Stages of treatments included: Extraction of seaweed with three stages: extraction of seaweed with normal washing process, the twice extraction of the seaweed with laundering at the beginning, and four times extraction of the seaweed with the washing at the end. Drying of seaweed extraction, milling of dried seaweed to be come carrageenan, and filtering. Carrageenan screening results conducted to determine the yield, test physical parameters such as viscosity, pH, water content, the gel strength, and ash content. And also test the chemical parameters such as levels of sulphate and chloride levels (as cleaning KCl based). The results showed that the washing process four times in the end give chloride levels (as KCl based cleaning) was lowest with an average of 0,16%, compared to the treatment washing process twice in the beginning with an average of 0,33%. And the manual process of KCl based cleaning with an average of 0,49% therefore the normal process of providing value levels of chloride as KCl based cleaning was the highest. The results of the study concluded that the washing process at the beginning and at the end, affect the chloride levels based cleaning obtained at below 2%. The washing process that can be used for the manufacture of carrageenan of the seaweed (Eucheuma cottonii) were the best in the washing process four times at the end.Keywords: Eucheuma cottonii, leaching, chloride, carrageenan  ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilaksanakan secara eksperimen dengan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 (tiga) taraf perlakuan masing-masing 3 (tiga) kali ulangan. Tahapan kerja meliputi: Ekstraksi rumput laut dengan tiga tahapan yaitu ekstraksi rumput laut dengan proses pencucian normal, ekstraksi rumput laut dengan pencucian di awal sebanyak dua kali, dan ekstraksi rumput laut dengan pencucian di akhir sebanyak empat kali. Pengeringan hasil ekstraksi rumput laut, penggilingan rumput laut kering hingga menjadi karaginan, dan penyaringan. Hasil penyaringan karaginan dilakukan penentuan rendemen, uji parameter fisik seperti viskositas, pH, kadar air, kekuatan gel, dan kadar abu. Serta uji parameter kimia seperti kadar sulfat dan kadar klorida sebagai KCl dry based. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan proses pencucian empat kali di akhir memberikan nilai kadar klorida sebagai KCl dry based terendah dengan rata-rata 0,16%, dibandingkan dengan perlakuan proses pencucian dua kali di awal dengan rata-rata 0,33%, dan proses manual (sebagai KCl dry based) dengan nilai rata-rata 0,49%, jadi proses normal memberikan nilai kadar klorida (sebagai KCl dry based) yang menghasilkan nilai tertinggi. According to Dirjenbun, in 2014 the national sugar demand reaches 5.7 million tons. Consisting of 2.8 million tons of white crystalline sugar for direct community consumption and 2.9 million tons of refined crystal sugar to meet industrial needs. White sweet potato can be used as raw material for making liquid glucose through hydrolysis process with acid (HCl). The preparation of liquid glucose consists of two stages: gelatinization stage and hydrolysis stage. Optimum hydrolysis was determined by variations in HCl concentration of 0.25; 0.5; and 0.75 N and time variations of 30, 60, and 90 minutes. The yield of sweet potato starch was 28.82% and the highest yield of hydrolysis result of white sweet potato starch was 94.07% at acid concentration 0.75 N with hydrolysis time 90 minutes.Keywords: white sweet potato, Flour of white sweet potato, liquid sugar, acid hydrolysisABSTRAKKebutuhan gula nasional baik untuk konsumsi langsung maupun untuk kebutuhan industri akan terus meningkat sejalan dengan meningkatnya jumlah penduduk. Menurut Dirjenbun, pada tahun 2014 kebutuhan gula nasional mencapai 5,7 juta ton yang terdiri dari 2,8 juta ton gula kristal putih untuk konsumsi masyarakat langsung dan 2,9 juta ton gula kristal rafinasi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan industri. Ubi jalar putih dapat dijadikan bahan baku pembuatan glukosa cair melalui proses hidrolisis dengan asam (HCl). Pembuatan glukosa cair terdiri dari dua tahap yaitu tahap gelatinisasi dan tahap hidrolisis. Hidrolisis optimum ditentukan dengan variasi konsentrasi HCl yaitu 0,25; 0,5; dan 0,75 N dan variasi waktu 30, 60, dan 90 menit. The aim of this research is to find out the optimum concentration of TiO2 and H2O2, reaction time to decrease ammonia and phosphate in tofu wastewater after treatment with photocatalytic reaction. The photocatalytic reaction was used to degradation of ammonia and phosphate with the radiation by UV lamp, photocatalyst and oxidant. The results are shown that of ammonia content in artificial waste was decreased, variation in the concentration of TiO2, H2O2, and time obtained the optimum concentration of 50 mg/L, 140 mg/L and the optimum time for 60 minutes with a percentage 72,18%, 86,00%, and 83.11%. The decrease of phosphate content, that found of variation in the concentration of TiO2, H2O2, and time obtained the optimum concentration of 100 mg/L, 160 mg/L and the optimum time for 300 minutes with a percentage 79,34%, 77,59% and 78,12% respectively. The photocatalytic treatment of the tofu waste water carried out the addition with aeration. Measurement level of ammonia in tofu wastewater without aeration and with aeration a percentage of decreased are 56.5% and 66.14%. Measurement of phosphate without aeration and with aeration a percentage of decrease are 47.03% and 53.30%. Concluded, ammonia and phosphate content in tofu wastewater can be decreased by photocatalytic with UV rays. Keywords: tofu wastewater, photocatalytic, ammonia, phosphate, TiO2, H2O2  ABSTRAK          Penelitian tentang penurunan kadar amoniak dan fosfat limbah cair tahu secara foto katalitik menggunakan TiO2 dan H2O2 telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi TiO2 dan H2O2 optimum, dan waktu reaksi terbaik untuk penurunan amoniak dan fosfat limbah cair tahu setelah pengolahan dengan reaksi foto katalitik. Reaksi foto katalitik digunakan untuk mendegradasi amoniak dan fosfat dengan bantuan sinar ultra violet, fotokatalis dan oksidan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penurunan kadar amoniak pada limbah buatan dengan variasi konsentrasi TiO2 dan H2O2 didapatkan konsentrasi optimum sebesar 50 mg/L dan 140 mg/L dengan persentase penurunan sebesar 72,18% dan 86,00%. Penurunan kadar fosfat dengan variasi konsentrasi TiO2 dan H2O2 didapatkan konsentrasi optimum sebesar 100 mg/L dan 160 mg/L dengan persentase penurunan sebesar 79,34% dan 77,59%. Pada variasi waktu didapatkan waktu terbaik selama 60 menit pada amoniak dan 300 menit pada fosfat dengan persentase penurunan sebesar 83,11% dan 78,12%. Pada perlakuan foto katalitik terhadap limbah cair tahu dilakukan aerasi. Pengukuran kadar amoniak limbah cair tahu tanpa aerasi dan aerasi didapatkan persentase penurunannya sebesar 56,50% dan 66,14%. Pengukuran kadar fosfat limbah cair tahu tanpa aerasi dan aerasi didapatkan persentase penurunannya sebesar 47,03% dan 53,30%. The result of reapeatabilty showed that analyst reapeatability was good because the relative standard deviation less than 2/3 RSD Horwitz.  The result of accuracy was good because both treatment gave recovery 89,28 % and 106,43 %, which in the range of acceptance recovery test for analite concentration about 50 mg/kg.Keywords : HMF, Hydroxymethylfurfural, Honey, Quality of Honey , Reapeatability, Accuracy  ABSTRAKPenentuan kadar hidroksimetilfurfural (HMF) pada madu telah dilakukan dengan metode yang mengacu pada SNI 3545:2013. Rata-rata hasil kandungan hidroksimetilfurfural adalah 64,72 mg/kg sedangkan batas maksimal yang ditetapkan SNI adalah 50 mg/kg sehingga kualitas contoh madu tersebut kurang baik.  Untuk menunjang hasil pengujian, maka dilakukan perhitungan repeatabilitas dengan menggunakan Standar Baku Relatif (SBR) Horwitz dan perhitungan akurasi menggunakan % perolehan kembali. It was widely cultivated with a monoculture system, like agricultural cultivation. The consequence of monoculture planting system was the unstable microclimate environment, so the ecosystem was susceptible to the pest and disease explosion. As happens at the Ciater plantation site, sengon plants were attacked by pests and diseases. The purpose of research were to study the extent data and intensity of boktor pests and tumor rust disease, boktor pest and bioecological behavior causing tumor rust on sengon as a protective and shade plant. The percentage and intensity of attacks caused by boktor pests and tumor rust disease was relatively high. The lowest percentage of boktor attacks was 40% and the highest was 90%. It could be categorized as serious severity, even dead plants. The percentage and intensity of the attacks indicated that the pests living on sengon could thrive in suitable food sources. Likewise with the percentage and intensity of attacks caused by rust disease has reached 100%, so it could be categorized as the level of damage was high.Keywords: boktor pests, intensity of attack, percentage, sengon, tumor rust disease . ABSTRAK          Sengon salah satu pohon yang memiliki banyak keunggulan dibandingkan jenis pohon lainnya dan banyak dibudidayakan secara luas dengan sistem monokultur seperti budidaya pertanian. Konsekuensi sistem tanam monokultur adalah lingkungan mikroklimat yang tidak stabil, sehingga ekosistemnya rentan terhadap hama dan penyakit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini, untuk memperoleh data luas dan intensitas serangan hama boktor dan penyakit karat tumor, perilaku hama boktor dan bioekologi penyebab penyakit karat tumor pada sengon. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengamatan visual setiap tegakan yang terserang oleh hama boktor dan penyakit karat tumor. Persentase dan intensitas serangan akibat hama dan penyakit ini relatif tinggi, untuk hama boktor persentase dan intensitas terendah 40% yang tertinggi 90%, sehingga dapat dikategorikan tingkat keparahan berat, bahkan ada tanaman yang mati. Persentase dan intensitas serangan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hama yang hidup pada tegakan sengon berkembang dengan sumber makanan yang cocok. Begitu juga dengan persentase dan intensitas serangan akibat penyakit karat tumor sudah mencapai 100%, sehingga dapat dikategorikan tingkat keparahan yang tergolong berat. The results of  hydrolysis of 6 N HCl results showed  that the highest absorbance reading was obtained at a concentration of eluent of 0,2 and 0,6 M NaCl, while the results of the protease enzyme hydrolysis the highest absorbance reading at NaCl eluent 0,2 and 1 M. There was no significant difference in the results of separation by ion exchange chromatography, showed that the concentration of NaCl eluent is not very influential, so for subsequent analysis used only one concentration of the eluent. Results of linear regression obtained was equal to 0,9946, these results indicate that the series standard amino acid lysine has a value that is linear as it approaches 1. The amino acid levels obtained on the sample results LCPKS hydrolysis with 6 N HCl which was about 0 to 8.82 ppm and samples of the protease enzyme hydrolysis of about 0 to 4.31 ppm. Amino acid levels obtained were still far from the expected.Keywords: Amino Acid, Oil Palm, Liquid Waste, Ion Exchange Chromatography ABSTRAKPenelitian mengenai Pemisahan Asam Amino dari Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa Sawit dengan Kromatografi Penukar Ion telah dilaksanakan dari bulan Oktober sampai November 2015. Hasil hidrolisis HCl 6 N menunjukkan bahwa pembacaan absorbansi tertinggi diperoleh pada konsentrasi eluen NaCl 0,2 dan 0,6 M, sedangkan hasil hidrolisis enzim protease pembacaan absorbansi tertinggi pada eluen NaCl 0,2 dan 1 M. Tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada hasil pemisahan dengan kromatografi penukar ion ini, menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi eluen NaCl tidak terlalu berpengaruh, sehingga untuk analisis selanjutnya digunakan hanya satu konsentrasi eluen. Hasil regresi linear yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar 0,9946, hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa deret standar asam amino lisin mempunyai nilai yang linear karena mendekati 1. Kadar asam amino yang diperoleh pada sampel hasil hidrolisis LCPKS dengan HCl 6N yaitu sekitar 0 – 8,82 ppm dan sampel hasil hidrolisis enzim protease sekitar 0 – 4,31 ppm.
