A horizontally elongated rectangular cavity of a porous medium, which consists of two layers with equal porosity and different constant permeabilities, is considered. The cavity is filled with a homogeneous ternary hydrocarbon mixture. The problem is solved within the framework of the Darcy-Boussinesq model, taking into account thermal diffusion. Data on convective regimes and distribution of mixture components were obtained in cases when the ratio of the permeabilities of the lower and upper layers is greater or lower than unity.","PeriodicalId":177478,"journal":{"name":"29TH RUSSIAN CONFERENCE ON MATHEMATICAL MODELLING IN NATURAL SCIENCES","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130737820","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Effects of stresses are accounted for through their influence on the chemical affinity tensor on which the reaction front velocity depends. Electromigration is considered as an additional summand in the total flux of the diffusive constituents. The Mean-Time-To-Failure (MTTF) is estimated based on Black's equation. Then the critical thickness of the IMC layer is calculated and a dimensionless parameter, which characterizes the accumulation of vacancies due to electromigration enhanced diffusion is proposed.","PeriodicalId":177478,"journal":{"name":"29TH RUSSIAN CONFERENCE ON MATHEMATICAL MODELLING IN NATURAL SCIENCES","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131733688","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dynamic loading mode was carried out in the ANSYS LS-DYNA computer system. A porous grid stack is formed by overlapping layers while maintaining wire directions. The packet has a quasi-periodic structure and a symmetric fragment can be distinguished. One grid layer and two grid layers were simulated, when the second layer is shifted by half the periodicity cell. Compression was carried out by a pair of absolutely rigid plates moving symmetrically towards each other. The calculations used a plasticity model with isotropic hardening. In the calculation, two diagrams of material deformation were used: dynamic and static, obtained by increasing the yield stress. With an increase in the yield point of the material, the deformation curves of the fragment change qualitatively, as in the experiments. The final duration of the loading pulse and the friction between the wires for this type of grid do not have a significant effect. The material in the dynamic mode has time to irreversibly deform during the action of the loading pulse. A comparison of the results obtained with the experimental curve obtained under dynamic compression is shown.","PeriodicalId":177478,"journal":{"name":"29TH RUSSIAN CONFERENCE ON MATHEMATICAL MODELLING IN NATURAL SCIENCES","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114131696","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In many applied works, based on the assumption of a uniform distribution of crystallite orientations, it is assumed that the representative macrovolume of polycrystalline metals and alloys can be considered as elastic-isotropic at the macrolevel. A similar assumption was taken in some works (especially at an early stage in the development of multilevel models) for crystallites, despite the fact that at the grain level the materials in question have a pronounced anisotropy of elastic properties. The purpose of the proposed work is to assess the differences in stress-strain state characteristics (especially residual mesostresses) at isothermal loads of the representative volume of polycrystals due to considering the anisotropy of elastic properties of its crystallites with HCP and tetragonal lattices (as compared to the data obtained for material with isotropic elastic properties obtained using different averaging procedures – Voigt, Reuss and Hill). The results of a stress-strain analysis for a simple shear (up to accumulated deformation of 50%) of polycrystalline samples are given. The study used a statistical two-level constitutive model based on the geometrically nonlinear physical theory of elastoviscoplasticity. In these constitutive models, one of the main relations is an elastic law written in a velocity relaxation form in terms of stress and strain rate measures independent on the choice of a reference system (or on an imposed rigid motion).","PeriodicalId":177478,"journal":{"name":"29TH RUSSIAN CONFERENCE ON MATHEMATICAL MODELLING IN NATURAL SCIENCES","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127823869","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Expressing the time derivative of the surface function from the kinetic contribution we have found the shape of the phase transition surface in the two-dimensional case for non-stationary solidification. The analytical solution was found in the form of a time-dependent correction factor to the spherical surface. It is shown that the dendritic surface quickly approaches the steady-state spherical shape in the course of time. In addition, the time of non-stationary period approximately equals 10−14 sec. The theory under consideration can be applied in analyzing more complex problems met in the dendritic growth theory (for instance, the growth of crystals in undercooled binary melts, the growth of dendrites in the presence of forced convection, local-nonequilibrium (rapid) solidification, and so on).","PeriodicalId":177478,"journal":{"name":"29TH RUSSIAN CONFERENCE ON MATHEMATICAL MODELLING IN NATURAL SCIENCES","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128003241","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A cantilever plate was considered as such a structure. An amplitude of displacements of the free end of the plate at resonant modes is considered as a mechanical response in case when forced steady-state vibrations occurring under kinematic or force loading are considered. Mechanical response of the structure is determined numerically using the ANSYS software package. Viscoelastic properties of a material of the plate are taken into account using the model with complex dynamic moduli. Within the frameworks of this paper relations between mechanical response of the structure and magnitude and polarity of electric voltage applied to electrodes of a piezoelectric element was obtained with respect to a type of excitation of vibrations.","PeriodicalId":177478,"journal":{"name":"29TH RUSSIAN CONFERENCE ON MATHEMATICAL MODELLING IN NATURAL SCIENCES","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123871926","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The thermal conductivity of the lower solid boundary is assumed high. Vibration period is comparable with the characteristic time of the film evolution, vibration amplitude is of the order of the layer thickness. We have demonstrated that under above conditions the vibration results only in the gravity modulation in the conventional amplitude equation. The stability study showed that in the absence of noise, vibrations do not change the threshold for convection; in the presence of noise, the layer is destabilized. Nonlinear calculations confirmed the last conclusion – subcritical occurrence of convection was detected. An asymptotic analysis, describing the transition with increasing vibration frequency from parametric influence to an averaged description, is also performed.","PeriodicalId":177478,"journal":{"name":"29TH RUSSIAN CONFERENCE ON MATHEMATICAL MODELLING IN NATURAL SCIENCES","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121964863","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Equations describing this process are derived on the base of the most popular and experimentally confirmed models for solute transport in porous media (I), fluid flow through porous media (II) and dependence between base parameters of media (porosity and permeability) (III). In the case of the closed domain cleaning the one-dimensional solution is obtained. This solution describes the effective vertical seepage regime. The stability of such a regime is studied by the quasi-static method. The neutral curves and dependences of critical time on problem parameters are obtained.","PeriodicalId":177478,"journal":{"name":"29TH RUSSIAN CONFERENCE ON MATHEMATICAL MODELLING IN NATURAL SCIENCES","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133784094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the basis of the results of solution to the problem of natural vibrations of piecewise-homogeneous electro-viscoelastic bodies with passive external electric circuits, an analysis of the effect of a shunted piezoelectric element on the damping coefficients of an electro-viscoelastic system was carried out. A two-layer shell structure is adopted as the object of research. The outer layer of the shell is made of elastic, and the inner one is made of viscoelastic materials. For the case of attaching resistive-shunted piezoelectric element it was shown that a resulting damping coefficient for the specified vibration mode is not a simple algebraic sum of damping coefficient obtained for a viscoelastic structure without piezoelectric element and the one obtained for an elastic structure with resistive-shunted piezoelectric element (in case when resistance of a shunting circuit is optimally chosen). At the same time, an attention is drawn to the fact that if the damping coefficient of the corresponding vibration mode decreases when only a piezoelectric element is connected, then even when a resistive circuit with optimal parameters is connected to it, the final damping coefficient for this vibration mode may be lower than that of a structure without a piezoelectric element.","PeriodicalId":177478,"journal":{"name":"29TH RUSSIAN CONFERENCE ON MATHEMATICAL MODELLING IN NATURAL SCIENCES","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134067306","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
