In this study, two scales have been used. Both scales have been administered to 283 teachers working at elementary schools in Canakkale. The findings show that teachers perceive their school administrators’ leadership roles quite high. In the sub-dimensions, highest level is “Support” and lowest level is “Vision”. In “Human-Centralism” sub-dimension, difference has been observed according to branch, in “Vision” sub-dimension difference has been observed according to branch and seniority, and in “Support” sub-dimension difference has been observed according to gender. According to “seniority and branch” variable, there is no significant difference in teachers’ attitudes towards educational technologies. However, difference has been observed according to gender. There was a correlation between primary school administrators’ technology leadership roles and teachers’ attitudes towards educational technologies.","PeriodicalId":177312,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Human and Behavioral Science","volume":"131 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124212148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In our sample, 60 university students mentioned that they don’t want to be self-verified in interpersonal relations for their neither positive nor negative personal aspects. Instead, they emphasized that they want to be self-enhanced in interpersonal relations for their negative personal characteristics. The reasons might be questioning about validity of the information or the risk of rejection for friendship or any other cause meaningful for them that can be studied in further research. Logistic regression models show that there are significant attributes and aspects of well-being that explain effecting self; self-verification and enhancement. Also, they evaluated themselves high in well-being especially on self and life love and satisfaction. They didn’t point out about energy and/or motivation and pleasure aspects of well-being that might be barrier for euidomonic and hedomonic well-being. The results are discussed related with the literature.","PeriodicalId":177312,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Human and Behavioral Science","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125603582","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Parents apply many different parenting behaviors during the growth process of their children. One of these behaviors is psychological control. Psychological control, that perceived by adolescent, which is applied by parents, affects adolescent’s many behaviors. The main purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationships between perceived psychological control, self-regulation and academic motivation for adolescent persons. Personal information form for demographics variables, Psychological Control Scale, Perceived Self-Regulation Scale and Academic Motivation Scale were used for collecting data. A total of 484 adolescents participated in this study. Participants are student from 8 different high school in Aydin. In adulthood, people are self-directed, they resort to experiential and transformative learning. Influenced by a number of bio-psycho-socio-cultural aspects, adult learning is based on strong motivation. In recent decades, there have been explored various reasons that stimulate people to engage in continuous learning or training activities. People have different purposes and interests, to which they give a less or greater importance. Some people are strongly motivated to have professional success, others are more interested in positive social contacts (the need for affiliation) or in interpersonal power (the need for power). Starting from these considerations, we developed a study on adult motivation. The adults included in the sample are trainees of the University of Craiova, enrolled in the psycho-pedagogic module, postgraduate. The proposed goal is to identify the reasons that are the basis of lifelong learning. We have assumed that there is a wide range of reasons that determine adults to learn, and that it is necessary to know them exactly when designing and unfolding the educational programs they are involved in. The research instrument we have used is the questionnaire and the results obtained from its application are the starting point in the discussions and conclusions of this study.","PeriodicalId":177312,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Human and Behavioral Science","volume":"123 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116772052","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Organizational Commitment Theory, Relational Theory of Contract, and Social Exchange Theory guided the conceptualization of the research on the assumption that, recruitment or engagement of employees encapsulates in a perceived relational trust between the employer and the employee; In other words, each party to the contractual agreement on employment engagement know their respective roles. From the conceptual postulation, the following hypotheses emerged: there is a relationship between recruitment and productivity; there is a relationship between recruitment and affective commitment; there is a relationship between recruitment and relational contract, there is a relationship between affective commitment and productivity; and finally, there is a relationship between relational contract and productivity. The methodology was a cross-sectional descriptive survey. A Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) utilizing latent variables and partial least-squares (LVPLS) was employed for the analysis. The results indicated that, there is a relationship between recruitment and productivity, affective commitment and relational contract. Contrary, there is no relationship between relational contract and affective commitment on productivity. The conclusion was that, there is a relationship between recruitment, affective commitment and relational contract.","PeriodicalId":177312,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Human and Behavioral Science","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125954400","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A hierarchical regression analysis was specified to determine whether career adaptability and optimism predicted by resilience and self-esteem components. The participants in the research group were 39 males and 138 females with an age range of 21–30 years old (M = 22.26). The 150 of the participants were senior college students and 27 of participants were teachers in an exam preparation course. As a result of this study, it was seen that there was no gender difference in terms of career adaptability. However, when the career optimism is examined, it is seen that women draw a more positive picture than men. When the factors affecting career adaptability and career optimism are examined, psychological resilience, self-liking and self-competence behavior are defined as factors affecting career adaptability. However, only self-competence is seen to be effective on career optimism.","PeriodicalId":177312,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Human and Behavioral Science","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134318095","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several studies have been conducted among adults to identify the factors associated with sibling relationships. Despite its seeming importance, only a few researchers have focused on the role of personality type in sibling relationships. The current study examined whether Big-Five personality traits were associated with the quality of sibling relationships among young adults. Participants included 552 university students living in the United States of America (54% female and 46% male) aged 18 to 25 years. Participants completed the Lifespan Sibling Relationship Scale and the Big Five Inventory. A series regression analyses revealed that all personality traits were significantly associated with the quality of sibling relationships after controlling participant’s gender and gender constellation. Of the personality traits, agreeableness was the strongest predictor of quality of sibling relationships. The current study’s strengths and limitations and the implications future research are discussed.","PeriodicalId":177312,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Human and Behavioral Science","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115228547","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
