This single-phase ac permanent magnet generator is then used to generate electricity from small river with low speed of water flow by coupling it with a low head hydro turbine. The low head hydro turbine is installed in two different configurations i.e., tilted and non-tilted or parallel to the flow of the river, to increase rotation speed. A water guide vane is also used for the same purpose. Field experimental test results show that the single-phase ac permanent magnet generator able to produce highest output voltage at 32 V on rotation speed of 260 rpm.","PeriodicalId":177278,"journal":{"name":"Atlantis Highlights in Engineering","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131644812","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mayonnaise is a mixture of vegetable oil with lime, sugar, salt, and egg yolk as an emulsifier that will form an emulsion system. This study aimed to determine the effect of adding vegetable oil to the quality of mayonnaise from PKO. The analysis carried out on the PKO is the analysis of free fatty acids, levels of impurities, and water content. Furthermore, PKO can be used in the manufacture of mayonnaise. Therefore, making mayonnaise with PKO can be analyzed by analyzing fat, protein, water, and sensory/organoleptic tests. The results showed that the addition of various types of vegetable oil: virgin coconut oil (VCO) and palm cooking oil (PCO), to based mayonnaise affected the water content, fat content, protein content, and sensory (color, aroma, taste, texture) of mayonnaise. Mayonnaise composition based on panelists assessment was obtained by mayonnaise with a composition of PKO + VCO (1:1) which contains 76.36% fat content, 8.27% water content, and 1.613% protein content.","PeriodicalId":177278,"journal":{"name":"Atlantis Highlights in Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129337762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In many areas, the destruction occurs before the development has been finished. One of them can be seen in Sekanak River restoration. Some parts have been damaged although the development has still be in progress. Therefore, an activity monitoring system that can monitor and give warning to the vandal is really needed. The system can be an alternative to prevent more destructions. However, due to the system will be applied in the public areas that is difficult to be reachable by the electrical source from the State Electricity Company, an independent supply is needed. This paper presents an analysis of the solar panel that can supply the system continuously. The analysis involves the calculation of the supply that can be used to switch on the system for 24 hours a day. From the experimental setting, it can be proved that the proposed solar panel design and construction has worked well. It can supply the total need of the system power of 200 watt for 24 hours.","PeriodicalId":177278,"journal":{"name":"Atlantis Highlights in Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128967091","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The government's purpose to build these three special bicycle lanes is to regulate traffic flow and facilitate cyclists in the city of Palembang. In its application, there are still many obstacles in the use of this special bicycle lane as a result of the large volume of private vehicles which are dominated by motorized vehicles. In addition, these obstacles also arise due to the minimal number of bicycle users and the purpose of cycling which is still limited only to exercise. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of special bicycle lanes in the city of Palembang using quantitative descriptive methods and analytical methods with BLOS (Bicycle Level Of Service) techniques. Data was collected through a survey method. The results of the research and analysis with BLOS obtained on Mondays at 06.00 0.8.00, 16.00 18.00 and Sundays at 16.00 18.00 are in the form of BLOS values, which found to be in the \"F\" rank, which is more than 5.5. This indicates that the environment is not safe to use as a bicycle lane. Meanwhile, the results obtained on Mondays at 11.00 – 13.00 and Sundays at 06.00-08.00, 16.00-18.00 show the BLOS value which is ranked “E” which means the environment has insufficient space for cyclists.","PeriodicalId":177278,"journal":{"name":"Atlantis Highlights in Engineering","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130609876","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
