This paper provides a review of electrical motor drive technologies used in EV applications, with a performance comparison of candidate machines and their drive topologies. EV applications demand high efficiency, high torque density, high reliability, and wide speed range while reducing weight, complexity, total costs and environmental impact. In the literature, DC (Direct Current) motors, IMs (Induction Motors) and PM (Permanent Magnet) motors can be generally found in marketplace whilst RMs (Reluctance Motors) have been researched for some time and are nearing commercial availability. This paper evaluates the performance of these four main types of electrical motor drives for EV propulsion applications using analytical methods. PM motors may offer the best performance in terms of torque density and compactness but the cost is the highest (primarily dominated by rare-earth permanent magnets), limiting their widespread application in mass production EVs. DC motors have their own merits but suffer from limited power density and necessity for maintenance. Induction motor drives are a mature and proven technology. In particular, squirrel-cage IMs are robust, reliable and inexpensive, striking a balance between system cost and complexity, power density and extended speed range. Reluctance motors can provide a good torque density and cost effective EV drive solutions. Their drawbacks can also be overcome by the use of power electronic converters and advanced control strategies. Induction and reluctance motor drives are well suited for cost sensitive mass production EV applications. Looking to the future, increased hybridization may be a way forward in industry which combines attractive features of different electrical machines and control algorithms and still offer much promise in performance and total cost. At last, reliability study on EVs requires historical information and driving patterns, demanding research expertise in eco-sociology, human behaviors as well as human-machine interface.","PeriodicalId":17719,"journal":{"name":"July 2019","volume":"11 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86124531","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Academics is not an exception. The management of educational technology has come up with exceptional results in the new paradigm of learning environment. In recent years, flipped learning approach has gained much popularity and has been more widely accepted and adopted as a driving force for enabling active learning. This paper defines the formulation of novel framework, inspired by flipped learning approach, leading to effective learning environment. It also describes a novel extension of student-centered learning by integrating educational technology, technology enhanced learning strategy, student questions generation and instant response system into the higher education. It also examines the impact of this extension on student learning engagement, motivation, attitude, and calculating the impact of acceptance for unconventional education on the overall system. The result indicated that effective learning environment has a significant positive effect on learning motivation and engagement. The result showed that the constructs of education technology, technology enhanced learning strategy, students question generation and instance response system in the presence of “impact of acceptance for unconventional education” has an effect on formulating effective learning environment. Research recommendations are given on the basis of results of the study.","PeriodicalId":17719,"journal":{"name":"July 2019","volume":"15 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86230842","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

NCO (Nano Cerium Oxide) particles were synthesized via microwave induced combustion method. XRD (X-Ray Diffraction), SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) and FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) characterized. NCO particles. Using Scherrer equation it was noted that NCO particles of 14-25 nm size were produced. The SEM and XRD results showed that size of NCO particles was decreased with increasing synthesization time. Synthesization time played vital role on the size of NCO particles. It was also noted that antibacterial action of NCO particles is size dependent. Antibacterial study through disc diffusion method revealed that NCO particles enhanced the efficiency of Amikin Grasil, Terivid and spraxin drugs against the E.Coli bacteria appreciably.","PeriodicalId":17719,"journal":{"name":"July 2019","volume":"97 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91447811","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For HPP, it is extremely important not only to identify risks but also to adopt proper mitigation measure to complete the project with in defined schedule and budget. Attempt has been made in this paper to identify critical risks associated with Dasu HPP and their mitigation measure to complete the project within predefined time and budget. The research methodology involved the questionnaire survey for identification of potential risks with their probabilities and impact. Pert-Master (Oracle Risk) software was used for simulation purposes. After feeding all data in the software, Monte Carlo simulation was run at 1,000 iterations to generate most probable duration of project, most probable cost of the project, critical risks sensitive to duration, critical risk sensitive to cost and statistically analyzed critical tasks/activities, which need due consideration for successful completion of project. Simulated schedule and budget was compared with planned one to find possible deviations, which may be eliminated by using mitigation measures proposed in the last section of the paper.","PeriodicalId":17719,"journal":{"name":"July 2019","volume":"14 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81944672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it gives rise to additional situational challenges. Situational variations result in unstable agile architecture which gets highly affected. Although the present literature focuses on agile architecture but effect of situational variation on the agile architecture still needs consideration. One possible solution is development of conceptual model and incorporation of multiple situational factors. This research study aims to identify the most relevant situations and propose situational ADSD approach for the development of situation-based software architecture framework for agile distributed projects. The study focuses on agile methods, rendering identified situational variations. The approach is developed through analyzing data from literature and their associated work documents. Comprehensive survey helps to bridge the gaps from conceptual to architecture model. The experimental results are acquired through both practical and statistical analysis. The results support Conway’s law, e.g. correlation that maps architecture with the communication and coordination needs. Correlation results show that architecture has major contribution in ADSD and validate the relationship among conceptual model and architecture model. The results also suggest that stable architecture in ADSD can positively affect the product.","PeriodicalId":17719,"journal":{"name":"July 2019","volume":"21 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85320946","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The US and Russia are aiming to launch a manned moon mission by 2025, while Europe, India, China, and Japan are also planning for such missions. The US and Russia are also planning to establish their lunar bases for moon exploration, which requires a long-term manned presence on the Moon. But existing technology limits the amount of food, water, and fuel to be carried with the mission for long periods. Space scientists and members of the mining community are working to develop In Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) techniques to enable next generation of astronauts to use their mission's raw materials. Scientists are working to explore the moon surface to determine the presence of mineral resources on the moon. NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) is expected to detect small quantities of ice and other resources on moon surface.","PeriodicalId":17719,"journal":{"name":"July 2019","volume":"34 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-05-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87676671","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
