Accordingly, 172 children from Fortaleza (CE), \u0000aged between 6 and 11 years and 6 months (M=8.64, SD=1.434) participated. The present integrative literature review analyzed articles published between January 2002 and December 2016 aiming to investigate the instruments used to assess the overload of informal caregivers to people with chronic pathologies in the Brazilian context. We searched the databases SciELO, PubMed, LILACS and Capes Periodicals, narrowing the final scope to 136 articles. Results showed 16 overload evaluation instruments/techniques and an increase in surveys over the years, with a mean of 9.71 articles per year and greater production on the theme in 2012.","PeriodicalId":177093,"journal":{"name":"Avaliaçao Psicologica: Interamerican Journal of Psychological Assessment","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126139395","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The instrument assesses skill level in phonological awareness and visual memory, is easy to apply, self-applied, adaptive and computerized. A total of 404 children attending primary or secondary school participated in the research. ANOVA and post-hoc analyses were conducted based on schooling and age, which showed significant differences. The results revealed that older children and those in higher grade levels are better skilled in PAR than younger children and those in earlier grades. Percentile value scales were used as normative abilities measure evaluated by school year and age. The instrument can be used in a research context to analyze children’s performance in tasks of essential elements for successful reading.","PeriodicalId":177093,"journal":{"name":"Avaliaçao Psicologica: Interamerican Journal of Psychological Assessment","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124508445","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These associations have not been jointly investigated in the Brazilian context. A sample of 371 university students (64% women) participated, each responding to the Life Satisfaction Scale (LSV) and the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale. Correlations indicated moderate association of life satisfaction with depression (r=-0.41), and small associations with anxiety (r=-0.22) and stress (r=-0.25). A multiple regression model was used to assess the predictive role of depression, anxiety, and stress on life satisfaction. This model predicted 17% of the total variance, and only depression (β=-0.51) was statistically significant. These results produce validity evidence for the LSV and are explored in terms of possible clinical implications for the development of strategies to increase happiness.","PeriodicalId":177093,"journal":{"name":"Avaliaçao Psicologica: Interamerican Journal of Psychological Assessment","volume":"192 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127667826","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
