Datasets based on Poisson distribution are important to analyze since they mimic many different applications such as computer networks. Our use-cases are simulations of computer networks. The last significant trend is the last predominant trend in a time-series dataset. Our method is a matrix based trend change detection that can analyze datasets with variable sizes. Reducing the time complexity and increasing the accuracy when determining the last significant trend are the goals of our method. We compare our method with RuLSIF, a basic change point detection method, to illustrate the benefits of our approach.","PeriodicalId":176998,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC)","volume":"186 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126110845","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we emphasize the advantages and the flexibility of deploying network applications on top of SDN infrastructure, designed for solving a problem or configuring a behavior, in comparison with Autonomic Network Management (ANM) solutions on traditional network infrastructure, designed for the same purpose. To elucidate this research, we will present a study of the “VLAN filtering and segmentation” autonomic deployment on top of both environments; regular network and SDN network, proving that SDN paradigm offers to the administrators an improvement in control and management tasks, with a rigorous translation of the business needs into production networks.","PeriodicalId":176998,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132855379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results are given in terms of the reflection coefficient and the radiation pattern. The experimental result shows that the narrow band antenna works around resonant frequency of 5.065 GHz and can cover the spectrum of 272 MHz between 4.926 GHz and 5.198 GHz. The size of the proposed antenna with a slotted-feed line and a Defected Ground Structure (DGS) is compacted and printed on FR-4 epoxy substrate and occupies a volume of 14.5×8×1.6 mm3. The advantages in this fabricated antenna are the simple design with a low coast material and miniaturized patch size (5.5×7 mm2) and the spectrum of WLAN 802.11a band. The numerical analysis was carried out using a CST Microwave Studio.","PeriodicalId":176998,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130815366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Rising star means he or she may be not so charming at the initial time but turns out to be an outstanding star over time. In academic network, rising star means the scholar who just starts his research career with not so many papers published. While in the future, the sum of citations and papers will increase and the scholar will be more outstanding. There are some works of scholarly assessment, however, few works are about finding rising stars. Most of the algorithms of finding rising star are based on random walk on a heterogeneous network constructed by bibliography. These methods need entire information of networks and fit for a long time. In this paper, we propose a method based on “Social Genes”, which are defined as the inside factors of scholars' activities characteristics. We use factor analysis to find the inside factors, calculate the weights by neural network, and make assessments via AHP method. The experiment results on APS dataset show our method is able to find more authors with high rank.","PeriodicalId":176998,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116627571","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Indeed, the medical field has an exponential number of data that requires a developed infrastructure and a very high storage and archiving capacity, so the process of processing the patient's information is slow and can return erroneous results. Considering the increasing demands placed on healthcare providers for infrastructure, systems and support, cloud computing technology can greatly improve the level of healthcare services; it will be the appropriate solution to meet the needs for care coordination, collaboration and communication between the different actors (doctors, patients, administrators, developers…) in the health field. In order to implement the project “family health book”, we need an architecture model that will be based on cloud computing while offering QoS (Quality of Service) required, to meet this need, we suggest in this article a solution based on the use of a cloud broker open source in an inter-cloud environment, in order to allow the technological renewal of our infrastructure while reducing both the time of access to the services requested by the users, the dissipation of the energy and the number of datacenters installed. Evaluation results demonstrated that our architecture has achieved good performances.","PeriodicalId":176998,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Networks, Computers and Communications (ISNCC)","volume":"121 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122166031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
