These vehicles are controlled remotely from a Ground Control Station (GCS) or autonomously by a programmed mission. Data-link between drone and GCS can be established by using a communication protocol. The Micro Air Vehicle link (MAVLink) protocol is an open source, point-to-point networking protocol used to carry telemetry and to command and control many small unmanned aircrafts. In this paper, communication requirements, such as network latency and data loss of the MAVLink protocol have been analyzed.","PeriodicalId":173523,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Information Science and Communications Technologies (ICISCT)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126655648","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We show that optimizing these bounds yields a solution, which is mean-variance (MV) or MV-skewness-kurtosis (MVSK) efficient depending on how many moments are included in the approximation. To illustrate the approach we apply it to an asset allocation model with a shortfall utility function. Numerical results are presented for an out of sample trading strategy using sixteen years of daily trading for a portfolio of six assets. The strategy significantly outperforms a standard market index, Dow Jones Industrial Average.","PeriodicalId":173523,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Information Science and Communications Technologies (ICISCT)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128183063","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The theoretical part had already been verified by measurement, inclusive of the basic functional verification, and now a bit error rate measurement method is presented which is a key parameter in evaluating the influence of changes in light polarization when the light passes through a transmission channel. For the functional site of the polarization multiplex for a wavelength of 1550 nm, the bit error rate for different phase plate positions was measured, with a part of the power being deflected to the polarimeter by the splitter. This resulted in unique data showing the effect of polarization changes on the bit error rate of the transmission channel.","PeriodicalId":173523,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Information Science and Communications Technologies (ICISCT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131035472","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

PAC devices (PDs) can communicate without infrastructure, because PDs are able to communicate in an ad hoc manner. Due to the absence of infrastructure, there are no certification authorities (CAs) or trusted third parties. Therefore, PDs have to have the ability to authenticate each other even though there is no other help. As the number of PDs grows, the need for authentication will greatly increase.","PeriodicalId":173523,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Information Science and Communications Technologies (ICISCT)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131057513","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such most common pest birds in many countries are House crows (Corvus), Common myna, Jungle myna, Brahminy starling, White-cheeked bulbul, Acridotterestritis etc. In order to distract these birds away, many traditional methods such as Scarecrow models, Hawk kites, Coloured lights, Lasers, Flashes, Chemicals etc are used which nowadays do not seem very effective. In this paper an effective bird deterrent technique i.e. Solar Powered Audible Bird Scarer has been developed. Different sounds due to which different species of birds get deterred were also noticed and studied. Unlike other projects, our project includes a variety of techniques playing sounds.","PeriodicalId":173523,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Information Science and Communications Technologies (ICISCT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130584148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The process of software composition is supported by various CASE tools. First tools were made on the basis of very simple formalisms (e.g. intuitionistic propositional logic). During the years the tools evolved to more efficient ones, which are able to deal with concurrency, multiparty sessions and other advanced aspects of distributed software. Such tools often are based on the behavioral types (BT). This paper presents 3 logically related tools: CoCoViLa, SoCoSys and BSynth in order to expose such evolution. CoCoViLa and (partially) SoCoSys are based on the Structural Synthesis of Programs method while BSynth tool is more related to behavioral types. The focus of this paper is more on the BSynth, because it implements the Evolutionary prediction algorithm, enabling to predict what components are missing in initial repository. The possible future trends of automated component-based software development and its relation to selected tools are discussed also.","PeriodicalId":173523,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Information Science and Communications Technologies (ICISCT)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126451707","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Speech recognition plays a key role in many systems like voice control, IP-telephony, personal identification, recognition of individual words and phrases, accepting applications for reference services and searching system. There are many researching companies in this area, which developing and improving methods, algorithms and applications for the segmentation of the speech signal and for the calculation of parametric indicators of the selected fragments of the speech signals. In the preliminary stages of speech processing is being implemented algorithms for the allocation of phonetic characteristics, which are subjected to syntactic and semantic analysis in subsequent stages. In isolating the phonetic characteristics of the input speech signals the calculation cepstral characteristics one of the important processes in speech recognition. The Mel-frequency cepstrum is gives good results for isolating phonetic characteristics of speech signals. The calculation of Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients takes a lot of time in speech recognition process. This is clearly evident in real time systems like IP-telephony. The calculation of Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients takes a lot of time in speech recognition process. This is clearly evident in real time systems like a IP-telephony. For the solving these problem we need to create a stream computing. A practical solution of the problem of faster processing is the use of parallel computing algorithms. The hardware platform implementation of parallel algorithms for calculation of Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients can be multi-core processors.","PeriodicalId":173523,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Information Science and Communications Technologies (ICISCT)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132070164","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
