The theoretical part had already been verified by measurement, inclusive of the basic functional verification, and now a bit error rate measurement method is presented which is a key parameter in evaluating the influence of changes in light polarization when the light passes through a transmission channel. For the functional site of the polarization multiplex for a wavelength of 1550 nm, the bit error rate for different phase plate positions was measured, with a part of the power being deflected to the polarimeter by the splitter. Abstract
