The editor allows creating an ontograph that describes the structure of the EER, as well as the ability to assign to each node a context of all types supported by the browser including html-pages, web 2.0 resources, etc. The EER built-in this way allows the integration of data from different sources with the ability to adapt to the conditions of any subject area, regardless of its specifics. \u0000Thus, the digital competencies of the EER creators remain relevant, since they do not need to learn new software resources to work with individual ontology concepts (“ontograph nodes”). \u0000As a result of our research, we have developed a technology for using the ontological approach to create an EER. For its implementation, the Ontos.xyz resource was developed, which is an ontological graph editor. The ontograph allows for the primary visualization of the EER structure, interpreting its structural elements as nodes (vertices) of the graph, and displaying the logic of transitions between structural elements in the form of directed links. With such an approach, the ontology is some kind of aggregator that ensures the integration of the semantic and technological approaches. Building an EER using the ontological approach requires appropriate technological support in terms of description languages, models, software tools, and systems. \u0000The software proposed solution, in contrast to its functional counterparts, focuses on use in the educational process.","PeriodicalId":170699,"journal":{"name":"Int. It is in this context that this research work lies to evaluate the psychosocial risks encountered by secondary school mathematics teachers in Safi city (Morocco). Indeed, it is a cross-sectional descriptive study based on a questionnaire that compiled socio-demographic and professional data as well as the psychometric variables of the French version of the KARASEK questionnaire. The latter has three components, namely psychological demand (PD), decision latitude (DL), and social support (SS).\u0000The sample consisted of 218 teachers, ranging from 22 to 61 years old, and the participation rate was 72.66%. The sex ratio was 1.5, out of which 61% were males surpassing that of women, 39%. The prevalence of stress risk variables was 98%, 79%, and 4% for high PD, low DL, and low SS, respectively. While Isostrain prevalence was detected only in 2% of instances, job strain was present in 77% of them.\u0000It is trusty to mention that men are proven to be more exposed to the lack of social support, “Job-strain” and isostrain than women. Indeed, they experience stress at work, thus demonstrating that psychosocial risks are significant occupational exposure for teachers. These results promote the development of prevention means to improve working conditions and protect the teachers’ well-being.\u0000 \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":170699,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Eng. This paper investigates further enhancements to the existing techniques via adding more emphasis on the learning components that are specific to Art, entrepreneurship, and Design. Different opportunities to apply the STEAMeD-based education in various engineering programs, which are delivered by liberal arts institutions, will be explored. The integration of the new emphases is demonstrated to resonate very well with satisfying the seven students’ outcomes that are dictated by ABET accreditation. The specific role of the augmented art component in promoting creativity, aesthetic appreciation, and better reasoning skills, is illustrated via different examples of simulation-based experiments and virtual modeling techniques. The entrepreneurship component of the engineering curricula is shown to better prepare the students for the challenging future via empowering them with better analytical skills, practical ingenuity, business-oriented communications, and adaptability to technological innovation, in an efficient way. It also overlaps with the requirements of the graduation design project that all students consider as the capstone of their engineering curricula. Adopting a project-based learning approach in many courses, at different levels in the curricula, proved to be very efficient, as verified by the many case studies illustrated in this paper. Tying the attributes of the STEAMeD-based education to the courses’ contents, with clear description of the learning outcomes, will be demonstrated. Also, addressing novel pedagogical approaches to better equip the students for their careers is considered. Finally, a comprehensive discussion and a conclusion is given to highlight possible extensions to the proposed techniques.","PeriodicalId":170699,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Eng. Metaverse is changing the world in different fields, from education to health. However, using the Metaverse for educational purposes has rarely been discussed. While there are only a few reviews summarizing the findings of studies on the Metaverse, no study has systematically analyzed empirical studies of the Metaverse in education. This study presents a systematic review of empirical studies on Metaverse-based education to fill this gap. The results revealed that Empirical studies were conducted with university students at most, and Additionally, no study focused on middle and primary school students. The results showed that virtual reality is the most common metaverse type used in empirical studies. However, there is a need for empirical work using Mixed reality technology in the educational Metaverse. As a result of examining the student engagement findings in the studies included in the review, it was seen that few experimental studies focused on students' behavioral engagement. It is expected that the findings of this study will guide empirical research on the Metaverse in education.","PeriodicalId":170699,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Eng. Despite its importance, a lack of practical teaching about this topic has been detected in the Agricultural Engineering curricula. For this reason, an active learning activity was planned within a teaching innovation project. The objective of this project was to design a structure as new teaching material to implement and use it to determine the tractor’s center of gravity coordinates. This teaching innovation project was organized in two stages: 1) The design of proposals by students following previously established requirements, and 2) A practical exercise to analyze tractor stability. Each stage involved students from two different Agricultural Engineering degree subjects. Before the second stage, the professor performed the final design of the structure based on previous proposals and later the structure was built. Five different ramp design proposals were received and graded in the first stage. A positive correlation between peer review and the professor’s grades was found. During the second stage, the ramps were used in another subject, in which the grades obtained in the related practical exercise were significantly higher in comparison with those got in the previous year. However, no improvement was found in the final exam grades. This activity involved students in the entire learning process and showed a positive influence on some of the evaluation activities.","PeriodicalId":170699,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Eng.
