Methods HRV of 72 healthy participants in sitting position was recorded while they carried out usual breathing, 0.2Hz, 0.1Hz, and 0.05Hz PB each 5 minutes in consecutive order. Five minute of relaxation was permitted between each breathing. Finally, HRV indices were statictically analyzed of 32 participants (SOEUM: 11, SOYANG: 10, TAEEUM: 11) after data out of accord with respiration rate or outliers were excluded. Results and Conclusions According to respiration rates, there was no statistical significance of HRV among Sasang Constitution. The purpose of this study is to report a case which showed symptoms improvement after treatment with Hyungbangjihwang-tang. Methods To evaluate the results of this treatment, Decrease of cough and sputum was assessed by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). The patient`s oral intake and body weight were measured. The patient who suffered with cough and sputum after tuberculosis developed high fever and pleural effusion of unknown origin. After treatment with western and oriental medicine, high fever and pleural effusion were subsided but cough and sputum got worse and body weight was decreased after high fever and pleural effusion. So we prescribed Hyungbangjihwang-tang and then the symptoms of the patient were improved. Methods Jeoryoungchajeonja-tang and other related prescriptions were analyzed in terms of their pathological indications, based on previous literature including 󰡔Sanghannon(傷寒論)󰡕, 󰡔Keumkuaeyoryak(金匱要略)󰡕, 󰡔Donguibogam(東醫寶鑑)󰡕, 󰡔DonguisusebowonᆞSasangchobongwon(東醫壽世保元ᆞ四象草本卷)󰡕, 󰡔DonguisusebowonᆞGabogubon (東醫壽世保元ᆞ甲午舊本)󰡕, 󰡔DonguisusebowonᆞSinchukbon(東醫壽世保元ᆞ辛丑本)󰡕 Results and Conclusions 1) The origin of Jeoryoungchajeonja-tang is discovered in the prescriptions for Lee-su(利水), that is, Jeoryoung-tang(猪苓湯). 2) Ohryoung-san(五苓散) introduced in 󰡔DonguisusebowonᆞSasangchobongwon(東醫壽世保元ᆞ四象草本卷)󰡕 progressively transformed into Shihosaryoung-san(柴胡四苓散)(󰡔DonguisusebowonᆞGabogubon(東醫壽世保元 ᆞ甲午舊本)󰡕) and ultimately into Jeoryoungchajeonja-tang(󰡔DonguisusebowonᆞSinchukbon(東醫壽世保元ᆞ 辛丑本)󰡕), a prescription appropriate for usage in the Mangeum symptomatology(亡陰證). 3) The Jeoryoungchajeonja-tang is composed of 10 herbs. The aim of this study was to compare the body shapes and mainly focusing on the Korean and Chinese-KoreanMethods We calculated the propensity score for each SC type in males and females separately, and compared body shape including 8 circumference and 5 width between Korean and Chinese-Korean according to the sex and SC. ResultsKoreans have larger trunk and hip area compared to Chinese-Koreans, while Chinese-Koreans have larger abdomen compared with Koreans. Most variables were significantly different among SC types, for both Korean and Chinese-Korean. Especially, the Taeumin (TE) type has the largest body shape compared with the other SC types,it was similar between Korean and Chinese-Korean.ConclusionsThis study showed that the TE type has the largest body shape, followed by Soyangin (SY) and Soeumin (SE) in order, for both Korean and Chinese-Korean respectively. To provide a state of the subject in Table to make it easier to grasp the information of the subject also in constitution diagnostician. ResultsProvides objective data for experts to determine the constitutional history of the subject.ConclusionsProfessionals and ordinary users through the SCAT system can easily access the sasang constitution diagnosis. Methods We have selected 118 original articles for statistical review from the OASIS(http://oasis.kiom.re.kr) and the Pubmed(http://www.pubmed.gov) in the field of Sasang constitutional medicine. Published year was restricted from 2011 to 2015. Results 1. The ANOVA(25.72%) was the statistic of choice overall, followed by the chi-square test(21.74%), regression analysis(14.13%), t-test(11.59%), and etc. 2. By examining the errors of the statistical methods, there were 42(59.2%) thesis with errors among 71 thesis using ANOVA, 19(31.7%) thesis among 60 thesis using chi-square test, and 35(89.7%) over 39 thesis using regression analysis.
