However, an exclusive model meant for landfill utilisation for landfill facilities is still untapped. As such, this paper proposes a new constraint faced by landfill facilities to ensure a more comprehensive model and its applicability to real-life issues. This idea is influenced by three main reasons. First, the lifespan of selected landfills is bound to decrease due to the increasing density of waste transported to landfills daily. The second reason is abandoning the available landfill sites due to inappropriate locations. Lastly, the government would need to bear high costs in establishing more landfills to accommodate the annually increasing waste. Hence, the Nearest Greedy method was applied to a benchmark problem of Waste Collection Vehicle Routing Problem (WCVRP) to construct feasible initial routes by considering the following three scenarios of landfills: (1) without capacity priority, (2) balance capacity priority, and (3) imbalance capacity priority. This study highlights the importance of using all available landfills to unload waste for the WCVRP. Weighing in this additional constraint may increase the life expectancy of the available landfill sites. However, the computational findings revealed that utilising all available landfill facilities (scenarios 2 and 3) can significantly increase the total distance travelled and the number of vehicles used compared to Scenario 1.","PeriodicalId":17041,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF SUSTAINABILITY SCIENCE AND MANAGEMENT","volume":"198 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135802365","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research demonstrates how the new OTOP development related to the role and cooperation between different parties, especially the university and the community that owns the OTOP product can be implemented. This research project is one of the University-community engagement projects to study and initiate OTOP product development from the three provinces of Chiang Mai, Lumphun and Lampang. This collaborative product development leads to three new and innovative products of OTOP based on the large survey and focus group of 1,275 elderly consumers. The value creation technique from local culture was employed to innovate the new products. This research developed the framework consisting of the three strategic stages of development. The cross-collaboration team are the main enabler. The OTOP cooperative ecosystem was tested and it found that this ecosystem can reciprocally benefit all the staffs including help configuring the organisation context and its entrepreneurship.","PeriodicalId":17041,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF SUSTAINABILITY SCIENCE AND MANAGEMENT","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135802368","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, many customers still depend on transactions directly from banking branch offices. This study intends to examine the factors that can increase the adoption of digital banking. Six hundred seventy-five respondents participated in this survey of customers utilising digital banking channels to conduct their banking transactions. Respondents were invited to complete a questionnaire that was made available online. The answers were then compiled and analysed using SEM Lisrel. Based on the findings of the study, the level of self-efficacy of customers as well as the quality of information they receive significantly impacts their ability to comprehend the advantages of digital banking. The respondents’ adoption of digital banking is significantly influenced by another element known as perceived usefulness, which is the most important component. This research highlights the vital role of self-efficacy and information quality in supporting the development of the TAM model. According to the respondents, the reliability of information and operational support in dealing with problems received from digital banking providers are essential factors for a high level of usefulness.","PeriodicalId":17041,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF SUSTAINABILITY SCIENCE AND MANAGEMENT","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135802497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In 2000, the government launched the mangrove reforestation project, but the expected outcome was not achieved. Evaluation and recommendations are needed to attain the economic and environmental sustainability benefits of ponds with planted mangrove plants mandated by the government. This study examined the feasibility indicators of ponds with and without mangrove systems and analysed the feasibility of aquaculture pond performance. The results showed that the polyculture ponds with mangroves were more beneficial than the other pond systems, accruing more than 3.55 million IDR/ha/yr in net income. The polyculture pond with 10% mangroves showed the highest feasibility and benefits. The NPV, IRR, BCR, and PP were IDR72 million/ha/yr, 22%, 2 and 4.8 years, respectively. Therefore, the polyculture ponds with 10% mangroves were the best recommendation for farmers for the next 25 years. Government policy should facilitate improving environmental quality and sustainability in the Mahakam Delta.","PeriodicalId":17041,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF SUSTAINABILITY SCIENCE AND MANAGEMENT","volume":"141 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135802499","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
