IncepForest: A Novel Approach for Sign Language Recognition with Transfer and Ensemble Learning 基于迁移和集成学习的手语识别新方法

Gesture recognition techniques have proven invaluable in creating systems that facilitate seamless information exchange among impaired individuals or device operations. As ubiquitous computing continues to progress, traditional user interaction methods like keyboards, mice, and pens are proving inadequate, thus necessitating more natural input methods such as direct hand input. In this study, the application of transfer learning methods for hand gesture detection in Indian Sign Language (ISL) and Bengali Sign Language (BSL) is investigated. To this end, several transfer learning techniques including InceptionResNetV2, VGG16, InceptionV3, and EfficientNet were employed on both datasets. Results demonstrate that InceptionResNetV2 outperformed the other transfer learning approaches, achieving an accuracy of 99.72 % for ISL and 91.00% for BSL. To further enhance the prediction accuracy of hand gesture recognition, several hybrid approaches were implemented by integrating InceptionResNetV2 with ensemble learning models like Bagging, Boosting, and Random Forest Algorithms. There has been a huge rise in educational interest in the area of sarcasm detection for these opinionated videos. Although sarcasm has proven effective for written text, it remains an unexplored area of research when applied to video and other forms of multimodal data. Numerous verbal and nonverbal signs, such as a shift in voice, an overemphasis in a phrase, a stretched pronunciation, or a stiff-looking face, are often used to convey sarcasm. The majority of current research on sarcasm detection has heavily relied on textual content. Hence, in this paper, we suggest that the use of multiple modalities can help with more accurate sarcasm identification. The recent financial and economic crisis in the pandemic stressed the deposition of financial conditions in households. We discuss in this study the analysis and identification of potential characteristics of households with higher and lower financial vulnerability scores. A survey is conducted to household heads in a local municipality in the Philippines. The data (N = 199) is first submitted to a Boruta algorithm for feature selection and out of twenty - two (22) input features, only ten (10) features are confirmed to be important in identifying lower or high vulnerability score. Afterwards, a 2 - cluster solution is revealed in the dataset using k - means clustering algorithm. Cluster 1 is formed by less educated household head with lesser household monthly debt and basic living costs, and those who are financially illiterate are more exposed to financial vulnerability. The BESO algorithm is based on a bald eagle's intelligent hunting strategy for food. The i-MG consists of distributed energy sources (DEs) such as wind/ photovoltaic systems with diesel and various energy storage systems (ESSs). Real wind dynamics and photovoltaic uncertainties are considered for this study. The proposed BESO optimised PI-FOPID controller responses are compared with BESO set PID and FOPID controller and also with other typical optimizing tools like differential evolution (DE) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). This approach modifies the control execution by reconstructing the conventional PID using the fractional order idea. The GO-FOPIDC is a novel technique, and depending on the error signal $e(t)$, its parameters animatedly changes. By comparing the respective results with those of other currently used control approaches, it is determined whether GO-FOPIDC is being executed more effectively or not. Setting up generation as per the new demand makes nominal frequency in the system and the process is called load frequency control (LFC). The selection of proper controller as well as suitable optimization technique are the key factor and back bone of the LFC attribute. LFC always targets for nominal frequency and scheduled power flow among various power stations under any electrical disasters. This research work is inspired by few novel research articles on LFC and trying to suggest a robust type2 fuzzy control (t2 fuzzy) approach for monitoring grid frequency as per the new demand. Owing to the optimal sizing of the employed controller, a noble technique named discrete water cycle algorithm (d-WCA) is proposed fort this activity. The result section covers a healthy performance comparative analysis of t2 fuzzy controller with various previously employed conventional controller for frequency monitoring of this common power grid. Then the tuning capability the d-WCA techniques has been also compared with different already employed approaches to demand d-WCA superiority. The aggregation of load from the cluster in practical scenario is very difficult. Further, the intermittent generation from the renewable energy unit makes discontinuity in power supply to the load. Thus, this article proposes an intelligent load management technique through Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) for the aggregation and control of thermostatic loads based on their temperature of operation and state to mitigate the frequency unbalance without compromising consumer's thermal comfort. Since many teenagers are using the facility, it is obvious to assess the involvement quotient of the students while accessing the e-learning materials. The proposed work automatic students' involvement assessment system (ASIAS) includes a two-stage vision-based technique to measure the involvement of the students. In the first stage, facial expression-based information is extracted from the live camera to compute the involvement quotient in terms of satisfaction, boredom, confusion, looking away, frustration, etc. In the second stage, screen distance detection is estimated to restrict health hazards. A ranking-based procedure is applied in this work on benchmark and collected datasets making the procedure effective. The performance of the ASIAS model is examined using the datasets FER-2013 and Student Engagement. The combined operation offers lesser component requirements and better synchronization without requiring additional voltage and frequency controllers. To obtain optimum power from solar PV and regulate the duty ratio of the boost converter, the most common perturb and observe-based maximum power point algorithm (PO-MPPA) is used. The change in climatic conditions affects power generation. Therefore, an energy storage (ES) device is connected to the Dc-grid by using a dc-dc converter. The suggested NFFCT not only offers better power management but also regulates the power quality (PQ) during non-linear load applications and demand variation. During the design of NFFCT, the system avoids excess filter requirements and reduces the use of excess transformation, which reduces the system complexity and reduces the computational burden during complex system applications. The complexity and size of digital designs have increased significantly, making functional verification mandatory. Surveys have shown that verification takes up to 70% of the total project time, whereas the design phase requires only 30%. Therefore, it is crucial to develop an efficient verification framework to avoid time-to-market delays. This research paper focuses on the development of a simulation-based verification platform for the RISC-V processor. The study describes the design of as-stage pipelined MIPS processor using UVM, supporting a 32-bit instruction set. The different modules involved in the design include Data Memory, Registers, Instruction Memory, and ALU.
