The induction motor drive is controlled using a FOC, which allows a fast transient response of the system by controlling a decoupled flux and torque components. Moreover, a fuzzy pre-compensated proportionalintegral (PI) controller is used for attaining a better dynamic performance of the proposed drive system. The performance of the proposed fuzzy controller is compared with the conventional-PI controller for the operation of the induction motor drive at rated load and light loading conditions. For systems with nonlinearity, controller parameters need to be tuned every time for new operating point to obtain `local gain parameters'. These local gain parameters are not sufficient to get satisfactory performance at other operating points. In this paper a novel approach `Aggregate Fitness Function' is presented to obtain the `global gain parameters' that works satisfactorily at various operating points. Online optimization scheme with Genetic Algorithm (GA) is adopted to tune the Proportional-Integral (PI) controller parameters for setpoint tracking of DC Motor by minimizing Integral-Time-Absolute-Error (ITAE). Hardware validation of the results is presented and studied. The plant under study is DC Motor Control Module (MS15) from M/S LJ CREATE™. M/S National Instrument (NI) based software and hardware components i.e. LabVIEW™ and its add-ons toolkit and Data Acquisition (DAQ) Card has been utilized for online tuning and closed loop run time control. The first order s-to-z transformations obtained are in close conformity to the ideal differentiator in terms of magnitude. The phase response shows a linear variation in this range which is also desirable for several applications. MATLAB simulation results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed analysis. A single three leg VSC (voltage Source Converter) topology is used in this work. The SECS not only feeds solar PV (PhotoVoltaic) energy into the grid but also serves the purpose of grid currents balancing, reactive power compensation, harmonics elimination and MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking). A feed-forward term for the solar contribution is used to improve the dynamic response for climatic changes. The PV array voltage and hence the dc link voltage is continuously adjusted to achieve MPPT. A RAD (Round Adaptive Detection) based algorithm is proposed for the control of three phase VSC. The system is modeled and simulated on MATLAB based platform. A wide range of simulation results are shown to demonstrate all features of proposed system. Moreover, all salient intermediate control signals are provided for assessment of control algorithm. The main source of electricity in Lakshadweep Island is diesel generators, the diesel being transported from the main land. Due to high energy costs, the islands are proving to be excellent test beds for the introduction of new technologies, and becoming so-called renewable energy islands to satisfy their energy demand mainly from indigenous and renewable energy sources. With its fragile locations, geographical and environmental limitations it is desirable to explore possible strategies to utilize maximum available potential of non-polluting renewable energy sources for this ecologically sensitive island. This paper examines the penetration of renewable energy sources in general and dissemination of solar photo voltaic (SPV) based power generation of electricity in particular for balance solution to the energy problems of Lakshadweep Island using technology diffusion models. They are a form of Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) where movement of each node (vehicle) is restricted by road direction, encompassing traffic and traffic regulations. The different challenges in VANET such as intermittent connectivity, abrupt changes in network topology and low reception rate distinguish it from other types of ad hoc networks. This paper covers different performance metrics encountered in recent literature, for small and large scale broadcasting protocols. Novel ideas are needed to optimize reliability and time criticality metrics in data communication protocols for VANET. The reason for analyzing the broadcasting protocols is that, in most of the emergency situations, there is less time to make a handshake with other nodes in the networks, as the emergency message is to be delivered fast and efficient. Therefore broadcast based routing protocol plays a major role in almost all the safety applications. This study aims to identify the operational gaps associated with running operational parameter in power plant process. It is focused to detect a different thermodynamic variable involved, being multivariate and automatic. For variation of each one of this operational parameters, performance calculations are carried out to configure a database of energy variation. The variable data sets now can be used as assessment criteria based on detecting deviations from a reference system that has been updated during plant-performance tests. Although the most important outcome is the highly precise and valuable information that will be obtained on the live operating mode, leading to ahead improvements in the cycle efficiency and achieved in the overall control system of the thermal plant. In SOC, 90 to 92% of the total chip area is covered by embedded memories (ITRS 2009) and that means memory density is higher than the logic density. Therefore testing and diagnosis of memories are important issues in the SOCs. Yield of memory is affected by the faults present in memory which also affects the yield of SOC. Built in self-repair techniques are used to repair the embedded memories. Built in self-repair techniques are used for the better yield of the system by using various techniques like 1-D Redundancy and 2-D Redundancy. Test, Redundancy analysis, Repair delivery are the three basic steps for the memory repair.
