The investigation target was to find out the difference between using plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (B. cereus, Streptomyces chibaensis, B. megaterium, B. polymyxa) either individual or in combination with each other and mineral fertilization on antimicrobial activity and some phytochemical constitutes of Moringa olifera leaves. The highest values of antimicrobial activity recorded for mineral fertilization on treatment followed by mixed biofertilization treatment (GP4) (B. megaterium, B. polymyxa) against seven foodborne pathogens Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Aspergillus niger, Rhizopus stolonifer and Botrytis cinera, as compared with the control treatment. Biofertilization treatment (B. megaterium, B. polymyxa) recorded increasing over control in (GP10) by 160.8% and decreasing of chemical fertilization by 5.41% for polyphenol content, also, the antioxidant content shown increasing over the control (GP10) by 81.1% and decreasing of chemical fertilization (GP9) by 5.6% as well as vitamin C and A were increased with mineral and biofertilizer (GP4) treatments after 55 days. Biofertilization in (GP4) recorded increasing over control group (GP10) by 48.89%, 27.08% and 58% for vitamin A, C and chlorophyll respectively. Ethyl acetate extract was found to be most potent extract than ethanol and water against all tested microorganism.","PeriodicalId":16981,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientific Research in Science","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85989288","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, green synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPS) from zinc acetate solution by using lemon peels aqueous extract was characterized by UV–Visible Spectroscopy, High-resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HR-TEM) and Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS). Anticandidal activity was investigated against three clinical multidrug resistant Candida species including two Candida albicans, one Candida glabrata and one Candida krusei using four antifungal agents by disc diffusion method and antifungal activity of ZnO NPS was assayed by disc diffusion method and determination of the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum fungicidal concentration (MFC). Characterization studies revealed that the synthesized nanoparticles have rod shape with sizes of 13.58 30.70 nm. Notably, high rates of resistance were observed with the four tested antifungal agents against all Candida species and the antifungal activity of the synthesized ZnO NPS against Candida species were exhibited, with a maximum zone of inhibition of 24.5±0.5 mm against C. glabrata followed by C. albicans (19.5±0.5 mm) and C. krusei (16.0±0.0 mm). MIC and MFC for all Candida species were 0.25 and 0.5 mg/ml respectively. The cytotoxic data indicates that ZnO NPs have half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) value = 230.12 ± 9.34 μg/ml on normal human lung fibroblast cell line (MRC5). In conclusion, the study elucidates that lemon peels mediated green synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles have antifungal activity against different Candida species. So that it can be developed as a novel medicine for the treatment of Candida associated infections in the near future.","PeriodicalId":16981,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientific Research in Science","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79340494","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Malathion is one of the OP that are used in agriculture to control pest and protect crops. Also, they harm non-target organisms and affect cruelly water sources, air, and soil quality. The present study aimed to isolate and identify a potent bacterial isolate capable of degrading malathion. Bacterial strain that isolated from Al Fayoum governorate, Egypt exhibited high efficiency for malathion biodegradation. Biodegradation process using minimal salt medium (MSM) supplemented with different malathion concentrations indicated that the bacterium was able to degrade and use malathion as a sole carbon source up to 700 mg/l at 37°C.The potent strain that exhibited biodegradation potential was identified as Bacillus sp. FYM31 and deposited into GenBank with the accession number OK325597. HPLC proved the effectiveness of malathion removal by Bacillus sp. FYM31 after 12 days of incubation to the level of 70.1% malathion (700 mg/l) degradation. Organophosphorus hydrolase (opd) gene was detected in the potent Bacillus sp. FYM31 strain. Due to the widespread usage of malathion in Egypt's agricultural areas, Bacillus sp. FYM31 can help bio-remediate the polluted areas.","PeriodicalId":16981,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientific Research in Science","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76228306","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different benchmark points are evaluated for the chargino-nutralino pair production using MSSM for four conditions on mass parameters. The results were compared with the latest data recorded by the LHC at √(s) = 8, 13, 14 TeV for pp collisions. In the minimal supersymmetric extension of the SM (MSSM) the mass parameters for the bino, wino, and higgsino states represented by M1, M2, and μ. Our results depend on the nature of the chargino-nutralino pair production and its masses. In case of light higgsino like sleptons the total cross section produced at small x, while for gauginos like s-quarks produced at large x due to the fact that gaugino constrained by CMS and ATLAS as heavier than 1 TeV. Assuming that the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) x ̃_1^0 is stable with R-parity conservation, it is a well-motivated to viable dark-matter candidate. Two scenarios of chargino-nutralino pair production are considered in this search. The first scenario Gaugino like with two conditions on the wino-bino and higgsino mass parameters [(M1 < M2 < μ) and (M1 < M2 < −μ)]. The second scenario Higgsino like with two conditions on the wino-bino and higgsino mass parameters [(M1 < −μ < M2) and (−μ < M1 < M2)]. Also, the effect of the sign and value of μ on the total cross sections for higgsinos and gauginos was represented. Nada Ezzelarab et al. J. Sci. Res. These are growing in depth between 5 and 10 cm. These consider a miracle of nature and an unexploited source of therapeutic compounds with antimicrobial, antioxidant, and wonderful food, especially for Bedouins. The current study investigated the activity of premature and mature ethyl acetate truffle extracts (white and Red) collected from the Western Egyptian Desert as antimicrobial and antioxidant. This study evaluated in vitro the efficacy of antimicrobial activity of organic truffles extract, and their effect on various pathogens (Gramnegative, Gram-positive bacteria, filamentous fungi, and yeast) by using agar well diffusion. TEM micrographs had been done for the most effective crude extracts. Furthermore, the activity of DPPH scavenging was studied for both mature truffles. Both truffles extracts had antibacterial activity more than antifungal activity. The selected extracts exhibited an inhibitory effect on the cell wall and protoplasm of pathogens. Terfezia sp. had antioxidant activity more than Tirmania sp. This investigation concluded that the truffle extracts could be considered a promising antibiotic and antioxidant drug in near future.","PeriodicalId":16981,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientific Research in Science","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90869041","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Postharvest oranges frequently deteriorate due to green and blue moulds, leading to significant economic losses. The purposes of the present study were to isolate blue and green moulds from infected orange fruits, to assess the ability of killer yeasts isolated from healthy orange fruits and leaves from orange orchards to control blue and green moulds and to evaluate the additive effect of BCAs in combination with 2% sodium bicarbonate (SBC), 2%, sodium benzoate (SB), 2% calcium chloride, 0.2% salicylic acid (SA) or 0.5% chitosan. Among eight fungi isolated from orange fruits showing symptoms of green and blue mulds infection, two were identified as P. digitatum and P. italicum and selected for in vitro assays. Twenty eight yeast isolates were obtained from orange leaves and from the surface of fruits. All yeasts exhibited high killer activity. Twelve yeasts reduced 22.5 –70% of P. digitatum growth while seven isolates reduced 21.168.5% of P. italicum growth. The most potent yeast isolates were identified as Candida pseudotropicalis, Candida salmanticensis, Candida membranifaciens and Pichia guilliermondii. Combination of the BCAs, C. pseudotropicalis, C. salmanticensis and P. guilliermondii with SBC, CaCl2 or chitosan increased their effectiveness against P. digitatum. While combination of C. pseudotropicalis, C. membranifaciens and P. guilliermondii with these natural compounds decreased their effectiveness against P. italicum. Combination of C. membranifaciens with SA increased its effectiveness against P. digitatum.
