Rule-based machine transliteration is not satisfactory, since different information sources have different standards for the transliteration. To build a statistic machine transliteration module, researchers have to curate a transliteration corpus for any given two languages of interest. Since a large amount of transliteration/translation pairs can be collected from the Web, a large transliteration-training corpus can be curated from these pairs. In this paper, we proposed a bi-directional approach to classify transliteration/translation pairs. Our approach combines both forward transliteration and backward transliteration to classify transliteration from translation. Appropriate components may not exist, the users may not know if a component exists until a one matching their requirements is generated, or the users may adjust their requirements. For complex systems governed by a community of interest, we introduce a Fusion Architecture coupled with Contract Templates (FACT). The Fusion Architecture assists with syntactic and semantic unification of user directives. Contract Templates provide a standardized mechanism to collect heterogeneous systems within domains of interest. Based upon specific analysis of each component, Contract Templates attach connectors to generate integrated systems to which queries can be directed. In this paper we present a multi-stage way which considers all the available information to improve the accuracy of ontology mapping. The initial similarities of concepts of two ontologies are obtained at the first stage based on the information of labels, instances and properties. Then former indexed experiences that imbed domain knowledge are used to modify the result. After that we use a preprocessing process to modify the structures of ontologies to reduce the heterogeneity of the structures. Then a graph-based iteration process is carried out, which considers the similarity of structures. When the EMD is applied to image problems based on color or texture, the EMD reflects the human perceptual similarities. Its computations, however, is too expensive to use in large-scale databases. In order to achieve the efficient computation of the EMD during query processing, we have developed “fastEMD”, a library for high-speed feature-based similarity retrievals in large databases. Clustering ‘similar’ rules facilitates exploration of connections among rules and the discovery of underlying structures. We first introduce the notion of ‘tightness’ of an AR. It reveals the strength of binding between various items present in an AR. We elaborate on its usefulness in the retail market-basket context and develop a distance-function on the basis of ‘tightness.’ Usage of this distance function is exemplified by clustering a small artificial set of ARs with the help of average-linkage method. Optimizing energy consumption in parallel disk systems has strong impacts on the cost of backup power-generation and cooling equipment, because a significant fraction of the operation cost of data centres is due to energy consumption and cooling. Although a variety of parallel disk systems were developed to achieve high performance and energy efficiency, most existing parallel disk systems lack an adaptive way to conserve energy in dynamically changing workload conditions. To remedy this deficiency, we proposed an energy efficient framework. In the framework, we developed an adaptive energy conservation mechanism that makes use of the Dynamic Voltage Scaling Mechanism to conserve energy in parallel disk systems without sacrificing performance. The framework leverages the adaptor to dynamically choose the most appropriate voltage supplies for parallel disks while guaranteeing specified performance for example disk request’s desired response time. We conduct extensive experiments to quantitatively evaluate the performance of the proposed framework. Immediate medical treatment is therefore of utmost importance; however, decisions regarding treatment are often very difficult to make due to the amount and complexity of patient information. The use of a computer-aided decision making system to help trauma surgeons assess the severity of a patient’s condition, and to make more reliable and rapid treatment decisions, could improve care giving standards and reduce the cost of trauma care. This paper focuses on creating such a system based on the rules derived through CART and C4.5. Our article concentrates on the usage of web design patterns while analyzing the structures and contents of web pages. We have created our own Pattrio method of pattern detection on web pages. The detected patterns on web pages describe the web page architecture from the external point of view of the user. The knowledge of this architecture can be used in various connections. Experiments have been presented in several conferences using the method of knowing the structure of web pages as automatically found. The article compares our approach with other selected approaches.
