The peculiarity of this technique is to perform the entire operation through the urethra, without percutaneous accesses. It is also noted that despite the existing prototypes, briefly described in foreign sources, the authors of the described method, patented in the territory of the Russian Federation, managed to find a unique and effective formula for performing the procedure. This approach, in which you can not worry about complications (which were not found in the sample described), allows you to conclude about a new approach to solving the \"old\" problem.","PeriodicalId":169474,"journal":{"name":"Russian veterinary journal","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116588555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the most effective agents was the nucleoside analogue GS-441524, developed by Gilead Sciences. Until recently, preparations containing GS-441524 were typically manufactured in China and were not licensed. «Coronacat» is the first registered drug with a certificate manufactured by a GMP facility in Europe for the treatment of feline infectious peritonitis (developer by VETUCHASTOK LLC, manufacturer ‒ Promvetservice-Alba branch of Promvetservis LLC). The article describes the results of evaluating the efficacy and safety of «Coronacat» in feline viral peritonitis. 1 ml of the preparation contains 10 mg of nucleoside GS-441524. The object of the study was 20 cats aged 6 months to 5 years with infectious peritonitis. Cats were divided into 2 groups: 10 animals in the experimental group (using the test drug) and 10 animals in the historical control group (without the use of the test drug, based on archival data). The effectiveness of treatment was assessed according to the following criteria: 1) survival (life expectancy when studying the effectiveness of treatment methods); 2) the presence of adverse reactions to drugs; 3) for the experimental group - a change in the parameters of blood electrophoresis. The data obtained indicate that the «Coronacat» preparation based on the nucleoside GS-441524, in contrast to the standard treatment regimen, showed high efficiency in the treatment of feline viral peritonitis. The course of «Coronacat» is 84 injections (1 time per day), if necessary, treatment can be extended. The decision on the need to extend the course of «Coronacat» should be made by the animal's attending physician.","PeriodicalId":169474,"journal":{"name":"Russian veterinary journal","volume":"99 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127600431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
