As a basic dimension of physiological indicator, human mental workload is widely used in evaluating human performance and reliability. In this paper, the VACP method is applied to analyze the operator mental workload in LOCA with full power operating. Firstly, the operator task model is constructed. Secondly, on the basis of the VACP, the operators’ mental workload is determined. Lastly, based on importance analysis, the feature of those actions with different adjustment parameters β (1, 10 and 50) were identified. The result shows that the ‘Visual locating’ is the most important among those actions. The research had the application of dynamically evaluating human reliability come true, which can also provide an important basis for preventing human errors in NPP. It can also provide a reference for assessing operator reliability in other safety-critical domains.","PeriodicalId":168429,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety Engineering (SRSE)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117164420","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A sensitivity-analysis-based reliability enhancement method is proposed for networked control systems. Using this method, the key components affecting the system reliability can be found through the reliability sensitivity analysis. The reliability sensitivity analysis result illustrates which components need to be improved first, and either static redundancy, dynamic redundancy or hybrid redundancy can be used to improve the reliability of the networked control system. Finally, a double loop networked control system is used as a case to verify the effect of our method. The static redundancy method is applied on those components which are more sensitive to the system reliability, and the system reliability is effectively improved.","PeriodicalId":168429,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety Engineering (SRSE)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124963400","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, it is of great importance to accurately estimate and predict the healthy status of the BLDC motor. In this paper, to achieve such a purpose, a weak degradation characteristic extraction method is proposed based on the variational mode decomposition (VMD) and the Laplacian eigenmaps (LE). With the proposed method, the weak degradation characteristic of the BLDC motor can be extracted accurately and the loss of key information as well as interference of redundant information are avoided. By using the historical data memory and the relationship analysis ability of the long-term and short-term memory, the healthy status of the BLDC motor is well predicted.","PeriodicalId":168429,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety Engineering (SRSE)","volume":"107 Pt 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129120888","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, it is necessary to define an index that characterizes the random effectiveness of PM in the recurrent failure data analysis. Nevertheless, with purely the recurrent failure data, it is unreasonable to preset the index by a constant without knowing the specific physical mechanism of maintenance. In this paper, we propose a model based on the non-homogeneous Poisson process to account for both the inherent wear-out and the random effectiveness of PM for repairable systems. After each PM, the rate of occurrence of failures (ROCOF) of the system is multiplied by the index, which is modeled by a random variable following a gamma distribution. The Expectation-Maximum (EM) algorithm is then leveraged to estimate the parameters of the gamma distribution and the ROCOF. We apply the quasi-Monte Carlo method to approximate the multidimensional integration in the EM algorithm. The proposed model is validated by numerical simulations based on a real-world recurrent failure dataset of ambulances.","PeriodicalId":168429,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety Engineering (SRSE)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132227204","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A distinctive feature of the proposed method is to provide the required probability of synchronization error. It is noted that an increase in the required number of sections is inversely proportional to a decrease in the probability of a synchronization error at a fixed station spacing. The relationship between the probability of synchronization error and station spacing is determined. So, with an increase in the frequency of generation of dark current pulses at a given value of the probability of synchronization error, the length of the fiber-optic communication line is significantly reduced. Due to the constancy of the signal-to-noise ratio at the upper boundaries of the sections, the probability of synchronization error is provided not worse than the specified value within the entire fiber-optic line.","PeriodicalId":168429,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety Engineering (SRSE)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132342221","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
