The fitting coefficients are identified through finite element analysis. The identification method of distributed dynamic load is found. Space mapping is used to reduces the dimension of the model, while the box-structure which bears the distributed load, from 3-D to 2-D. Then the load can be identified by the theory of 2-D orthogonal polynomials, and finally those identified load can be re-mapped to the real case in 3-D. The simulation results show that the method is simple, effective and precise as long as enough data of feedback points are collected.","PeriodicalId":167797,"journal":{"name":"2010 Second International Conference on Modeling, Simulation and Visualization Methods","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133164471","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed infrared sensor adopts a suspended n-well containing several p+/n-well diodes as infrared sensing element. The thermal analysis indicates that the sensor exhibits excellent steady-state and transient thermal property. The theoretical analysis shows that the temperature coefficient is independent of temperature and process parameters, which is not true for conventional infrared sensors using single p-n diode. The simulation results based on SMIC 0.18μm CMOS process are consistent with theoretical ones. Compared to traditional p-n diode infrared sensor, the proposed structure is more suitable for constructing an infrared focal plane array (IRFPA) for imaging applications.","PeriodicalId":167797,"journal":{"name":"2010 Second International Conference on Modeling, Simulation and Visualization Methods","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115076396","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A severely high temperature and drought occurred in the summer of 2006. So, it has been very necessary and urgent to know the affection trend and extent of the urban heat island to high temperature in urban during that period. The temperature data measured at automatic weather stations was used to statistic the urban heat island. High resolute numeric model was used to simulate the urban heat island distribution and its influences to high temperature. The researches showed that there was a clear urban heat island phenomenon in Chongqing. The average of the daily urban heat island intensity in the summer was 1.0°C and the maximal reached 1.8°C. The urban heat island intensity varied clearly in a day. It was stronger in nighttime than it was in daytime. The average of night urban heat island intensity in summer was 1.4°C and the maximal reached 2.6°C. The appearance of urban heat island probably increased the high temperature harm at night. The refined temperature distribution and numerical simulating results clearly showed the temperature and the urban heat island distribution. The results indicated that the temperature and the urban heat island were affected by the city zone, hills and rivers, etc, at the same time. The highest heat island was located in Shapingba district, east of Zhongliang hill, which was mainly because of dense buildings, industries and isolated wind velocity field in it. Along the river area of Jiangbei, Yuzhong, Nanan, Jiulongpo, Dadukou formed connected high heat island areas, which were all old districts with high urbanization. The high temperature harm in night in urban increased by the urban heat island.","PeriodicalId":167797,"journal":{"name":"2010 Second International Conference on Modeling, Simulation and Visualization Methods","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114302343","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mao, Guo-ping Chen","doi":"10.1109/WMSVM.2010.25","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/WMSVM.2010.25","url":null,"abstract":"Optimization of structures with constrained layer damping by bi-directional evolutionary structural optimization???BESO???was studied in this paper. The sensitivity equation of the objective function about deleted and added elements was built for maximization of modal loss factor of constrained layer damping structure. Firstly the FEA model of the metal structure without constrained layer damping are built, and the mode shapes are calculated. Secondly substitute the mode shapes into the sensitivity formula, to calculate the sensitivity of the elements of the metal structure with supposed constrained damping. Thirdly sort to find the element with negative or minimum modulus sensitivity, and stick the material to where those elements are to initialize the optimization configuration. BESO then was import into the optimization base on the initial optimization configuration. If a pair of deleted and added elements increase the certain stage modal damping ratio, the pair then should be implemented until no such pairs, then the optimal layout of the constrained layer damping materials we get. The mass added should be equal to the deleted to assure the mass of the constrained layer damping material. The example shows that BESO can get the optimal layout of the given mass of damping materials to maximize the certain stage loss factor and save 90% time compared to ESO. The reasonable result demonstrates the effectiveness and engineering value of the method.","PeriodicalId":167797,"journal":{"name":"2010 Second International Conference on Modeling, Simulation and Visualization Methods","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123679784","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
