To understand cytogenetic changes associated with type 2 diabetic mellitus, cytogenetic analysis was done on peripheral blood lymphocytes collected from twenty five type 2 DM patients using short term lymphocyte culture, and 15 apparently healthy people with as control group. The present study includes evaluation the cell cycle changes by determining blast and mitotic indices (BI and MI), as well as study the cellular kinetics by scoring replicative index (RI). The present data revealed significant depressions in BI [41.69±2.28] in patient's group compare with healthy group [54.46±4.56] and in MI [0.52±0.04] compare with healthy group [1.2±0.11] (P<0.01)]. The rate of cell cycle progression was also a reduction in diabetic patients [1.44± 0.10] in comparison with control [1.88± 0.01](P<0.05). We conclude that cytogenetic indices (BI, MI, and RI) are sensitive tools to achieve the cytogenetic abnormalities in type-2 diabetic mellitus","PeriodicalId":167115,"journal":{"name":"Wasit Journal of Pure sciences","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116906873","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The samples were isolated with 100 samples and placed in special tubes to bacteriology laboratory. Isolation and diagnosis of bacteria include grow in different media like nutrient and Mannitol Salt agar and in selective Medea like Baird Parker Agar with staining with gram stain to show bacteria shape and characteristic. The antibiotic's sensitivity to these bacteria was detected by observing and measuring the area of inhibition of bacterial growth with the presence of different types of antibiotics. The purpose of this research to know the amount of pathological bacteria present in the hospital and classify them for the purpose of avoiding the danger to human life, to control them and diagnose them in easy and quick ways, and to know their sensitivity against different types of antibiotics.","PeriodicalId":167115,"journal":{"name":"Wasit Journal of Pure sciences","volume":"94 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126083229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The samples were taken from the air conditioners of these locations and then washed with distilled water. The Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) has been used to measure Mn concentration. The results showed that the concentration of Mn, in general, is higher than the allowed international values. The minimum, maximum, and overall average values of Mn concentration (in mg m^{-3}) for the investigated samples were 1.13E-04, 2.05E-02 and 3.46 E-03, respectively. Finally, the cancer toxic risks and non-cancer toxic risks have been estimated, and its results were important and cannot be ignored.","PeriodicalId":167115,"journal":{"name":"Wasit Journal of Pure sciences","volume":"68 7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115730377","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence the idea of the research came and after the presence of patients who recovered from this disease or whose treatment was stopped and placed under follow-up, so the aim was to examine the chromosomes of chronic lymphocytic leukemia patients after follow-up. Materials and Method: Study of clinical observations and cytological analysis of patients recovering from chronic lymphocytic leukemia. The cases were collected from the oncology unit at Al-Karama Hospital in Al-Kut. Blood samples were taken and cultured in the laboratory by the culture method for a short time to study the chromosomal body using the G-Bind method. Results: Chromosome analysis of all recovered patients showed that the chromosomes were normal at the cellular level, and no chromosomal changes were observed in them. The number is normal and the chromosomal structure is also normal compared to normal and other cases. I examined the number of structural and chromosomal changes found in patients, recovery was closer to normal. Conclusion: The chromosomes were normal at the cellular level to heal afterwards Received treatment, no chromosomal changes were observed with them. The number is normal and the chromosomal structure is also normal Compared to normal cases and others, this result gives the importance of examining chromosomes for the recovering after each treatment period to follow up on the patient's condition after recovery","PeriodicalId":167115,"journal":{"name":"Wasit Journal of Pure sciences","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116451366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
