Beside students’ textbooks, maps represent one of the most important utility appliances in teaching geography. As such, they have to be synchronized with the curriculum, which means that they have to contain adequate general and thematic maps. The content of the map has to be simple and easily understandable as well as accurate and in accordance with the current occurrences and processes, both in the country and in the world. Such atlases would find their practical appliance in geography classes, and the accuracy of the map content would influence the shaping of the students’ geographical concept.","PeriodicalId":166785,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Geographical Institute Jovan Cviji?, SASA","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124708067","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During this period, which is \u0000 characterized by radical political and socio-economic changes, as well as the \u0000 strengthening of nationalism in many countries in Central and Eastern Europe \u0000 and the Balkans, in Serbia has been an \"awakening\" of the national \u0000 consciousness of the majority nationalities, as well as many members of \u0000 ethnic minorities. This question is in the focus of attention of many economies over decades ago. The complexity of technology development, specialization of labor, migration and a constant need for education have rendered this area more complex and challenging to explore. It has long been known that the labor market is very asymmetrical and often unpredictable. Despite the great importance of this problem, there is no universal recipe for its solution, which could be effectively applied in neither all countries, nor in every period. In each country there are parts of the territory (regions) which have recorded worse results over a longer period of time, as measured by almost all major economic indicators, including the level and rate of (un)employment, compared to the national average. This paper presents a general theoretical overview of the functioning of labor markets and their features, and will provide a short analysis of asymmetry in labor market movements (employment/unemployment) between the EU Member States and their regions. .","PeriodicalId":166785,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Geographical Institute Jovan Cviji?, SASA","volume":"112 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124145432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The cartographic generalization is creative process of generating, but it may be said that it is also one of factors that refers to presentation the geographic reality at a map. The geographic maps can get one new meaning, generated but connotative too, by generalization, because main characteristics of spatial occurrences are emphasis by graphical expression - map. Among these influence factors on process of generalization is also the type of transformation in projection that we use for constructing the map. This refers usual to small-scaled maps and to change of scale factor with changing longitude and latitude. In this paper, it will be presented with more details connection between generalization and cartographic projections which are used for presentation sphere ellipsoid to plane (plan or map). Scale factor is very important because with change of longitude and latitude it is also changing, and it is the main indicator of transformations. That is the reason why the scale factor is presented with more details in this paper.","PeriodicalId":166785,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Geographical Institute Jovan Cviji?, SASA","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124412749","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They originated out of need for the smaller local centers in the regions of the District of Kolubara, with villages and hamlets dispersed or semi -dispersed in type. They originated as road settlements in the second half of the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century. Ljig developed at the major traffic artery Belgrade-Gornji Milanovac, at the crossroads where from the road branches off towards Mionica and Valjevo, while Belanovica originated at the old road Belgrade-Rudnik, which nowadays does not have the former significance and occupies the peripheral location in relation to Ibarska Highway. The settlements originated spontaneously along with passing from natural to the economy of goods in order to carry out certain economic function in relation to the territories which gravitate towards them. Belanovica was declared to be a small town in 1904. Ljig was declared in 1922 when it was formed as a traffic, trade and commercial center of the wider region. Ljig then obtained its first regulative plan, and later three more. The development of these settlements went differently into several phases, so that Ljig was formed as the primary, and Belanovica as the secondary center in the system of the settlements of the municipality of Ljig with certain spheres of influences on other settlements in the surroundings.","PeriodicalId":166785,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Geographical Institute Jovan Cviji?, SASA","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130651996","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The evaluation of this area is carried out from the point of its possible exploitation in the function of winter tourism. Development of winter tourism is mostly conditioned by the morphometrical characteristics of the relief that is dominated by mountain areas in the first place, due to their hipsometric characteristics, and to the features of the terrain slope and exposure. Therefore, mountain areas have better preconditions for the development of this branch of tourism in comparison to the low- lying areas. This paper provides the evaluation of morphometrical characteristics of Ravna planina terrain, in the possible function of winter tourism development, using GIS. The paper tried to present the needs of certain branches of tourism (such as Alpine and Nordic skiing and different kinds of extreme ski disciplines) as possible preconditions for winter sport tourism development. The evaluation in this paper is based on classification method that provided the scale of Ravna planina terrain relevant values.","PeriodicalId":166785,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Geographical Institute Jovan Cviji?, SASA","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131196019","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Foreign investment is now coming into the country not only as a source of new technology, but also as a source of capital and managerial skills. Accordingly actual inflow of FDI in India has increased at a compound annual growth rate of 36.3% between 1991 and 2003. The regional pattern of FDI has been marked by strong variations during this period, with more investment going to states with better infrastructure and more progress in the reform process. The hitherto reserve sectors for public investment like power, oil and telecommunications have attracted considerable FDI after liberalization. In terms of the country-wise approvals of FDI, USA accounts for nearly 20% of the share followed by Mauritius, UK and Japan. FDI has come in the form of joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and green field investments. There have been certain hindrances in the actual inflow of FDI which need to be overcome in the coming years.","PeriodicalId":166785,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Geographical Institute Jovan Cviji?, SASA","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133341698","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
