Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is one of the most important platforms used for enhancing AES algorithm Performance. Unfortunately, the AES actual throughput Over GPU can hardly improve Due to the CPU-GPU data transfer overhead. In this paper, the AES-ECB algorithm is implemented on NVIDIA GTX 1080 (Pascal architecture). We used Two different techniques to overcome data transfer overhead including the streaming technique and unified memory technique. Our results show that the actual throughput of the AES using the streaming technique equals 80Gbps which is about 2 times greater than using the unified memory technique. Furthermore, we achieved 280 Gbps Kernel throughput using 32bytes/thread granularity and shared memory key storage.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125492513","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various diagnostic models have been proposed in the literature. However, no work has been reported on the development of a robust prediction model for forecasting the future health state of steam generators. In this paper, we propose an ARIMA-based prognostic approach for tracking the degradation evolution in a steam generator and further predicting its Remaining Useful Life (RUL) before breakdown. A case study concerning real degradation datasets from different steam generators is extensively investigated to validate the performance of the proposed model.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131688124","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the complex nature of such systems, conducting FTA may turn out to be time-consuming and error prone. Thus, automation is highly desirable. In this paper, we build on top of our previous work and we propose FLA2FT, a tool-supported Fault Tree (FT) generation from ConcertoFLA results. More specifically, we integrate FTA in a well-established existing system modeling and analysis methodology to generate FT automatically using model transformations. To illustrate the usage of FLA2FT, we apply it to the space domain and automate the generation of ECSS-compliant FTs for an Attitude Control System (ACS). Finally, we draw our conclusions and sketch future work.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133492098","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This requires considering the impact of disturbances in the electrified transportation system onto the stability of the power system. This paper addresses this issue by proposing a method based on a cell transmission model (CTM) of the electrified transportation system and an alternative current (AC) model of the power system. Specifically, CTM is used to simulate the dynamic realtime traffic under congestion disturbances and evaluate the charging demands in the areas of the electrified transportation system. The charging demands are input to the AC model of the power system to calculate the fluctuations in power flow distributions. The proposed method can simulate the dynamic interactions between the electrified transportation system and the power system, and quantitatively measure the impacts of traffic disturbances on the stability of the power system. A numerical example is used to illustrate the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121739449","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of such metrics is to help achieve safe and efficient design, maintenance and operation of assets in industrial sectors. In parallel, Value of Information (VoI), a concept at the junction of the fields of decision theory and Bayesian theory, has been used to define cost-efficient inspection policies, in particular in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM). This paper discusses the use of importance measures in a decision context that includes cost, maintenance and inspection, with the objective of defining infrastructure management policies. More specifically, it focuses on the use of VoI for the identification of components or groups of components that may be particularly ‘information-relevant’ in a given decision context.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121764860","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A statistical design of experiment with online monitoring of voltage, current, temperature, resistance, duty cycle, and frequency is used to identify relay failure precursors. Examples of detected precursors include abnormal spikes in resistance and extension of the average closing time of the relay within the final 1.5 million actuations prior to failure. A detailed post-failure analysis utilising white light interferometry and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis reveals the relay failure modes associated with erosion, pit and crater formation, and material transfer. The results demonstrate that low resolution data can detect signatures of impending failure modes such as stuck open and closed failures as well as unacceptable long opening times. The findings within this paper demonstrate remote monitoring of the near real-time health of electromagnetic relays with low resolution data analysis.","PeriodicalId":166131,"journal":{"name":"2018 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121526721","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The software is developed with the Scrum Framework, a popular Agile practice used nowadays. Even if AXPM has been successful with Scrum since we started using it, we risked modifying the framework to see what would happen in the hopes of continuously improving our performance.
