To further increase the \u0000precision of these simulations, improved cross-section calculations are \u0000needed. At these energies, the interaction probability is dominated by \u0000bremsstrahlung for large energy losses and electron-positron pair production \u0000for small energy losses. \u0000 \u0000Improved analytical calculations for these processes were developed with more \u0000precise screening functions of the target atom as well as higher order \u0000corrections reducing the systematic uncertainties below the percent level. \u0000The new calculations are already implemented in the new version of the lepton \u0000propagator PROPOSAL, which was designed to be highly performant for the \u0000propagation through large volumes of media using interpolation tables and to \u0000do systematic studies with its multiple available cross-section calculations. \u0000The new calculations of the differential cross section result in a maximum \u0000deviation of 3 percent to the current standard. Their effects on the muon \u0000simulation with the resulting flux and energy loss distribution are \u0000presented.

Progress on indirect and direct searches for non-gravitational signals \u0000from dark matter has been reported in over 50 contributions to the 36th International Cosmic-Ray \u0000Conference in Madison. Besides updates on well-established searches for Weakly Interacting \u0000Massive Particle dark matter, which continue to improve in sensitivity by 1–2 orders of magnitude \u0000per decade, a wide range of new/alternative dark matter search strategies were discussed. These \u0000include new detection strategies, new targets, and searches for, e.g., hidden photons, axion-like \u0000particles, primordial black holes and strange quark nuggets. Here, I provide a succinct overview \u0000of these contributions, including expectations for the upcoming years.

It is intended for analyzing different aspects of Cosmic Ray Physics. The detector, with a footprint of 1.8 m2, offers tracking capability with an angular resolution of about 0.01 sr and time resolution close to 0.3 ns. This telescope is taking data regularly since April 2015. By means of simulation, a powerful tool for Electron/Muon track identification, MIDAS (Multisampling IDentificAtion Software), has been developed over the Tragaldabas detector. The method is based on a systematic study of several observables that are associated with track reconstruction; such as, the Chi-square of the track-fitting, the number of cells fired over all the planes of the detector or the normalized track length, among others. In the case of electrons, this method is able to give an estimate of its energy. Its accuracy is close to 99% for Electron-Muon separation using simulated data.

The spectrum is obtained from Cherenkov light flux - the energy scattered by charged particles of air showers in the atmosphere. \u0000 \u0000It has been shown by measurements that in the cosmic ray spectrum there is a break in the slope at energy $ sim $10$ ^{17} $ eV. The reliability of the result is based on spectra of other compact array experiments and simulations to check for systematic uncertainties, which could affect the shape of the spectrum. When they undergo a charged-current interaction, the short lifetime of the tau gives rise to regenerated neutrinos at relatively high energies. ANITA recently reported two EeV showers which, at first glance, could be interpreted as emerging tau neutrinos. Their emergence angle was shown to be in tension with the expected angular distribution from isotropic astrophysical neutrinos. However, localized emission from a point source in the event's direction can evade diffuse bounds. In this work, we present an updated and precise calculation of the tau-regeneration effect using a newly developed Monte Carlo package, TauRunner. We describe the algorithm and the software’s capabilities, and apply it to the anomalous ANITA detections. We show that any flux from the direction of the ANITA events should be accompanied by secondary tau-neutrinos detectable at IceCube. We derive the maximum allowed secondary flux at IceCube and use it to infer the maximum number of events ANITA would detect. We find that ANITA should see not more than $10^{-6}$ events, requiring a significant over-fluctuation to account for the anomalous event in 2014.

However, the results based on the boron-to-carbon ratio remains unclear. In this work, we employ other \u0000secondary-to-primary ratios including the deuteron-to-helium 4 ratio, the helium 3-to-helium 4 ratio and the antiproton-to-proton ratio measured by recent experiments to constrain cosmic ray propagation models. Statistical tools are interfaced with the GALPROP package to perform the analysis. Both the force-field approximation and a time-, charge-, and rigidity-dependent solar \u0000modulation model are considered to better explore the systematic uncertainties caused by solar effect. The estimated propagation parameters are compared with those derived by using the boronto- \u0000carbon ratio to help us further understand the cosmic ray propagation mechanisms.

The direction of each $gamma$-ray is reconstructed with respect to the reference system of the DAMPE payload. In this proceeding, we adopt a maximum likelihood method and use the $gamma$-ray data centered around several bright point sources to measure and correct the angular deviation from the real celestial coordinate system, the so called "boresight alignment" of the DAMPE payload. As a check, we also estimate the boresight alignment for some sets of simulation data with artificial orientation and obtain consistent results. Whereas the ground pressure is quite easy to measure (a first order linear correction can be readily perform), the correction of the temperature effect on muon detectors is particularly complicated; as a matter of fact no standard method exists. \u0000 \u0000Trasgo detectors are high resolution tracking devices, providing: (i) high resolution on position and time, (ii) the capability of measuring high-multiplicity events, and (iii) some muon-electron separation. As different event topologies do correspond -usually- to different evolution of showers, then by keeping memory of the different pressure layers of the atmosphere, the analysis of the trends of different multiplicity and composition events may provide information in real time of the changes of the temperature in high levels of the atmosphere. \u0000This feature opens the door to the development of auto-calibrated detectors, able to perform a real time estimation of the temperature profile of the atmosphere, as well as a real time correction of the data by the atmospheric effect. \u0000 \u0000Some preliminary results on the correlations between cosmic rays and temperature profile of the atmosphere (using data taken with the TRAGALDABAS detector at the Univ. of Santiago de Compostela) will be shown and discussed.
