Depuis le début du XXe siècle, la quantité et la variété des documents découverts n’ont fait que croître, finissant par constituer un précieux réservoir de matériaux historiques pour la période allant du XIIe au XXe siècle. Cet article présente d’une façon systématique la découverte et la conservation de ces documents, leurs caractéristiques et leur valeur, ainsi que les travaux entrepris pour leur catalogage, leur édition et leur publication. Il énumère les traits distinctifs de chaque catégorie de documents, explicitant ainsi leur importance scientifique pour l’étude de l’histoire chinoise. La découverte de ces documents en nombre a permis le développement de maints et nouveaux sujets d’étude pour l’histoire sociale, culturelle et économique de la Chine des Ming (1368-1644) et des Qing (1644-1911), avec un apport considérable de matériaux historiques originaux, riches en informations et pour ainsi dire « vivants ».","PeriodicalId":165655,"journal":{"name":"Cahiers d'Extrême-Asie","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128368016","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mountain forestry has been intensively exploited since the Ming dynasty (1368–1644) and up to the present time, mainly due to the economic growth of coastal trade, which has also led to significant population displacement and socioeconomic changes. Historical sources on mountain forestry are limited, and most of them concern phenomena marginal to it, such as, for example, mountain refugees or social unrest. These materials hardly allow a satisfactory account of the different historical processes inherent to the exploitation of mountain areas. In recent years, however, a huge number of forestry contracts have been discovered in various places in Fujian, opening up a new field of study: the social history of mountainous regions. This paper, by drawing on existing contractual documents of mountain forests in Fujian, thus intends to provoke some thought and discussion in this area of research.","PeriodicalId":165655,"journal":{"name":"Cahiers d'Extrême-Asie","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131147727","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Étude de cette pratique à travers l’évolution de la taxation des transactions foncières","authors":"A. Feng","doi":"10.3406/asie.2022.1591","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3406/asie.2022.1591","url":null,"abstract":"The emergence and spread of the practice of “after-sale compensation” (zhaojia 找價) under the Ming and Qing dynasties was driven not only by rising land prices and regulation of resales, but also by changes in the system of taxation of land transactions, notably in the tax rate. Some previous studies have suggested that a 3% tax rate on these sales was maintained throughout the Ming and Qing dynasties ; however, the government in fact lowered the taxes on these transactions at the beginning of the Ming. In the mid-and late Ming, the tax rate was intermittently restored to 3%, depending on the state’s financial exigencies. In the mid-Qing a more rigorous system of the “notarization” of base contracts, and afferent acts drawn up simultaneously with them, was established. The development of the practice of after-sale compensation thus coincided with changes in the system of both fiscal acts and taxation rates. From several of the extant after-sale compensation contracts, notably separate contracts to arrive at an irrevocable sale in urban property sales, it is clear that the practice of after-sale compensation was aimed at avoiding paying tax.","PeriodicalId":165655,"journal":{"name":"Cahiers d'Extrême-Asie","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129968802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
