This paper is aimed to provide a sketch of the teacher's views and strategies to facilitate students with appropriate reading strategies.  EFL teachers have different kinds of reading strategies applied in the classrooms.  This study has found that three groups of teachers teaching in excellent accredited public schools, good accredited public school and very good Islamic private school use various strategies during the teaching of reading. Teachers' perceptions on the teaching of reading strategies are closely related to their readiness with knowledge about reading strategies, students' reading problems and their belief. This study aimed to synthesize a thin layer of ZnO using the facile and low-cost sol-gel spin coating method. The ZnO thin layer is deposited on a glass substrate and analyzed to observe the influence of the deposition variables such as heating and rotation speed, and its aging. The characterization methods include the identification of the formed phase using X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), and the microstructure and elemental composition using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) coupled with EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectrometer). The study shows that a thin layer of ZnO is successfully deposited on a glass substrate by heat treatment at temperatures of 300 oC and 500 oC. Furthermore, XRD reveals that higher heating temperatures result in higher diffraction peak intensity. At a heating temperature of 300 °C crystals are formed but are not yet perfectly oriented, while they are at 500 °C. On the other hand, higher spin coating rotation speed gives rise to lower intensity of diffraction peak. The ZnO crystallization is easier to form in the coating process with a lower rotation (1500 rpm). Interestingly, the thin layer is stable over time where there is no significant change in each sample, both in terms of intensity and width of the ZnO crystal peak. The results indicate that gel precursor aged less than two days can form ZnO crystals. Finally, SEM results show that the surface morphology of the ZnO layer heated at 500 oC has an average grain size of 300 nm. Activity test performed at pH 4,5 temperature 55oC for 50' with 10 mm concentrations of each ion 0-10mm. Galacturonic acid content, as product of pectin substrate hydrolysis, was used as basis for determining activity and analyzed by visible spectrophotometry. At concentrations 2 and 4 mm Mg2+ act as an activator, but at concentrations 6, 8, and 10 mM as inhibitors. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning achievement on the heroic and patriotism figures subject matter through the provision of verbal and non-verbal reinforcement. This research is a class action research (CAR) with the subject of the research were class IV students in semester 1 of SDN 2 Sandik, amounting to 28 students. Student learning achievement data were collected using test instruments and analyzed descriptively-qualitatively. The results showed that the student learning achievement in the first cycle was in the medium category (mean = 5.50) increased in the second cycle (mean = 8.25) with the good category. The implementation of learning has also increased in each cycle. Lightweight concrete has been made from waste raw materials processing of gold and ash husk of rice with cement as the supporting materials, foam, and ADT. The purposed light brick-making determined the density and compressive strength. Concrete light created by variations in waste processing of gold and ash husk of rice was respectively 10% LPE + 90% ASP, 25% + 75%, 50% + 50%, 75% + 25%, 100% + 0% (in% volume), hardening time for 11 days. Parameter test performed include density test and compressive strength test. This research is a survey research using a descriptive correlational approach. The research sample included 18 physics teachers and 494 students spread across 10 Public High Schools in Yogyakarta City which were taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection uses questionnaires from teachers and students and observation sheets. The analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and Spearman correlation analysis. The purpose of this study was to improve student cognitive learning outcomes using the Cooperative Learning Model Type Group Investigation in class X MIA 2 students of SMAS NW Mataram in the 2018/2019 academic year. The subjects of this study were 15 students of class X MIA 2. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. Observation sheet of learning implementation is used for each meeting to find out the implementation of learning steps according to the learning implementation plan observed by 2 observers. Test instruments of 20 multiple choice questions and 5 description questions were used in this study to find out the improvement of students' cognitive learning outcomes in each cycle. The results showed the implementation of learning in the cycle I (1) the first meeting reached 63.63% with a good category and the second meeting reached 88.8% with a very good category, (2) the cognitive learning outcomes of students in cycle 1 obtained an average value 59 with the classical completeness value achieved 46% of the incomplete category, while in cycle II (3) the first meeting of the implementation of learning reached 72.72% with a good category (4) the second meeting reached 94.44% with a very good category, and for results cognitive learning students obtained an average value of 72 with a classical completeness value achieved 76%. This study aims to improve the learning achievement of class VI Elementary School students in electrical materials using the demonstration method. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the research subjects being class VI students of Sandik 2 Elementary School totalling 19 students. Formative test instruments on electrical material and observation sheets were used to collect data on student learning achievement and implementation of learning using the demonstration method. The results showed that 80% of the total students had reached 70% of the level of mastery of the concepts given. The results of the observations also show an active and well-functioning learning atmosphere. The critical thinking ability is one of the abilities students must-have in the 21st century that is oriented to the processing of information based on the results of the reflective analysis to determine what to believe and to do. The results of a series of observations and case studies note that the critical thinking ability of class X3 students of SMA Negeri 5 Malang is still low. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes and critical thinking skills through the application of an investigative cooperative group learning model. This research is a lesson study research with the steps plan, do, see. The subjects of this study were the students of class X3 of SMAN 5 Malang, totalling 36 students with teaching materials about fungi. Test instruments, observation sheets, and student worksheets are used to obtain data on learning outcomes and students' critical thinking ability in this study. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes in cycle 1 amounted to 69.7 and cycle 2 amounted to 76.1. Critical thinking ability of students has increased in cycle 1 by 84.5 and in cycle 2 by 90.5. The conceptual profile is a tool for analyzing the style or process of thinking, so the profile of understanding concepts is very important to study as a basis for designing and improving the quality of learning. This research is a descriptive study that aims to identify and explain the conceptual profile of prospective biology teacher FPMIPA IKIP Mataram. The subjects in this study included all biology students who regularly program evolutionary courses. The open-ended question is designed to collect conceptual profile data on the evolutionary biology students from FPMIPA IKIP Mataram. Identification or determination of conceptual profile is based on student responses or answers. Based on the results of the research and the limitations of the discussion, it is recommended that the development of textbooks that are free of misconception as a learning resource for valid biology prospective teacher, then lecturers as instructors, continue to study and teach about attitude, namely scientific attitudes, or thinking dispositions, and/or integrating attitudes in the lecture process.
