Utilization of the Bubnov-Galerkin method for the solution of a direct problem (analysis problem) allows for certain restrictions to obtain a real kernel of this equation. The existence of a real kernel enables to carry out analytical investigation of the non-uniqueness and branching of solutions of the obtained equation. Numerical results of research of the eigen values of the corresponding-linear equation are given.","PeriodicalId":164885,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 7th International Seminar/Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2002-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114162254","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the same time the small penetration-depth approximation (SPA) is very accurate at high frequency/induction numbers. A hybrid algorithm, combining the MAS with SPA, is efficiently implemented. Numerical experiments are performed for a highly conducting and permeable sphere and a prolate spheroid under a time varying primary magnetic field. Numerical experiments demonstrate that the proposed method is able to produce very accurate results with low computational requirements.","PeriodicalId":164885,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 7th International Seminar/Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2002-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128830653","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The necessary precondition of the effects of self-organization is the presence of a flow of energy acting in the system from an external source, due to which the system gets the ability to form structures independently (see Loskutov, A.Yu. and Mikhailov, A.S., \"Introduction into Synergetics\", Nauka Publishers, 1990). On an example of the nonlinear transverse nonhomogeneous dielectric layer, the constructive approach of the analysis of amplitude/phase dispersion of eigen oscillation-wave fields of a nonlinear object, the norm of an eigen field is defined from the solution of a diffraction problem of plane waves or excitation of a point or compact source of a nonlinear layer.","PeriodicalId":164885,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 7th International Seminar/Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory","volume":"356 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2002-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116241983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such crystals might find use in variety of microwave devices - mixers, filters, etc. Development of such structures by experimental methods is either too expensive or impossible due to technical limitations.
